    Nope!

Grading...still can't find a decent example that is right for your pics. Anyway, I was basically just thinking about a kind of strong Velvia film look (partially washed out but strong greens and yellow curves)...make sense? Not sure how well it would work anyway though with the strong sun flare you have in the shot.

Not sure if I have posted this before but just found it on an external harddrive. Its a favourite of mine (has some good memories) but it could do with reprocessing as its quite overexposed. Anyway...

It's a good composition, and a nice moment. Memories are a great part of photography.

It's always a bit difficult correcting overexposure though :/ Hasn't helped with the contrast because of that.

I'll have a play about with the colour curves as you suggested - I'm not sure green saturations are going to do much though, there's not much in the way of greens in there. I never did use much Fuji film, and I don't think I ever put a roll of Velvia through my SLRs, I always stuck to Kodak pro stuff.

Marty - yeah I preferred yesterday. They were more... delicate. Particularly that fifth shot. That was really excellent.

Aye, those are defo the secondary pics, though I thought they were worth airing at least.

I put the 5th pic from yesterday in 4 Aces earlier on flickr, and it's not really generating much traffic either .. you know I really don't understand how people can get hundreds of comments on stuff on there, even on the most mundane photos. Guess I just don't pimp my shots enough.

I'm off to Durham next week on hols, so I'm defo going to be taking that 28mm lens with me.

You don't take enough pictures of fluffy animals

Gareth - this "flash" camera you've bought, what exactly is it? A very good film camera? (yes I am ignorant of such matters being a recent digital only photographer).

Any Minolta SLR users here? I'm looking for a flash for a KM Dynax 5D as a part of the good lady's birthday.
Can anyone recommend a good one?

Ish, no I don't. But I have done a lot of flower macros and sunsets recently

Gareth's flash camera is a really really nice bit of kit - see here: http://www.dpreview.com/articles/leicam8/

However, my £12 Vivitar pics spit on some of the M8 rubbish posted on flickr. It's not your camera people!

I'm not a Minolta user, but you should look at Minolta's own range of external flash units first. Minolta Maxxum Flash - they're always better suited than third party stuff.

I shall take a read. Looks similar to the film Scarlett Yohannson is holding in Woody Allens new film:

                    Think thats an M6.

That reminds me, i've still got about 20 rolls of Velvia/Provia (120 format) in the freezer! Must defrost and have a go.

                      Nice sunset pictures Marty.

                      Ish, like the portraits.

And she's clearly never taken a photo in her life if that's anything to go by ...

                            Marty, maybe shes's 'zone focusing'!

Leicaphiles are arguing all over the internet about what version M6 it is! At the end of the day, she could be holding a broken disposable camera and still make me go weak.

My new camera isn't flashy at all really, bugger all features at least. But its great fun to use and i'm itching for the weekend so I can do some 'street' with it.

Well it's definitely badged M6 in the pic, but yeah, it could simply be a DIY plastic prop. No matter, the pic is going to be a blury mess

Looking forward to your pics Gareth, so don't make me Vivitar your ass
