second the pliers, they do the job just fine. best to use some unshot film and practice loading it in the light without the bag so when you you load itin the bag you can visualise what is going on.

If I bought some slide film, it would be easy to take some slides into a camera shop to get them developed into a larger picture later on, right? I'm just thinking of cost at the moment, since a pack of 10 will set me back just over ?40, which is a bit more than I wanted to spend.

        Link here

The second or third on the list is probably what I'd go for, though it may make sense to just buy a single roll of slide film just to see how it works out...

Advice on film to buy would be very useful! I'll be taking a mixture of daylight and night time shots. Most of the time I won't be able to use a tripod, if that makes a difference.

Hi, does anyone want to collaborate with me on a project? I have a friend who runs an art magazine based in Nottingham, which she asked me to contribute to. I need someone to take some photographs for me. Don't worry, it isn't particularly demanding work and you probably won't need to travel further than your home town.

          Pm me if you're interested.

            Pete,

you can indeed get prints developed from slides very easily.

I really can not recomend these enough.

if you want to buy film including processing then 10 for 40-50 is about right, remember you will get finished images for that price so ?40 for 360 shots is pretty good.

Fuji Velvia 100F 36 and Fuji Provia 100F 36 are

but FUJI Sensia 100-36 is pretty good and includes processing.

I forgot to mention I might get paid for this, if so I'll split the money 50-50 with whoever takes the pictures. Again, pm me if you're interested!

                    Photography...part 2

Thought it'd be nice for some photos to be posted. Come on now, don't be scared!

Although I've been into photography for about 18 months now, I'm still pretty crap. I feel like I hit a brick wall on skill development about 17 months back and I'm just repeating the same old stuff. Hey ho.

                    Some examples anyway

Sorry for the half thumbnails half links, the forum randomly decided which to display and which to link.

All taken on a canon 350d in RAW format, cut down to size for the forum.

I think your better than you give yourself credit for. Some nice pictures there. I particularly like the first one.

But if you feel you've hit a wall why not try changing subject matter.

Bit of a random selection that I nabbed from another forum I post on.

All taken with a Leica Digilux 2, manual.

Oh, and Pete, you are definetely being hard on yourself. Some of your composition is excellent and you have great tonal range.

The first image and the silhouette plant images in particular are great shots.

Do you shoot B/W or convert afterwards?

Sorry to be cheeky, but since this is a photography thread I thought I would ask!

Does anyone happen to have the likes of a Canon 300D and feel like upgrading? I've been after a 300D or similar for ages and never found the right deal!
