Went to an apple fair today. They had some owls on show. Amazingly placid creatures: with big crowds around them they didn't mind being touched and stroked, just looked calmly on. Took a few photos of them. Was difficult to get decent angles with the crowd but a few came out ok. (you should be able to click through to the larger flickr versions)
(if you look closely at the full size version on flickr you can see me taking the shot reflected in its eye)

I have a quick question for those using Flickr. As part of the T&C, I must create a link to my page for each photo I post on the web but how do I do that?
1. Copy and paste this HTML into your webpage
That is the option I am talking about but what do I do with the copied text? Paste it into my message or something else?? I am confused!
Sorry for being a dumb****!Last edited by Richard.John; 16-10-2006, 00:53.

Peanuts - take that link they give you and post it into the message on this forum. Then jig it round a little so it looks like this:
(url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/capnkroaker/270227272)
(img)http://static.flickr.com/110/270227272_fc0e985dcf.jpg(/img)(/url)
The curly brackets need replacing with square brackets. I've just used curlies so you can see the text here.

To anyone who prints their photos - how do you store them? I should be getting a batch in today from Photobox. I want some sort of album but slightly better, like a portfolio or something. I've looked around on the net but the pics and descriptions are so minimal that it's difficult to see what they are like.
Any recommendations?

I got a couple of shots this w/e - but nothing I was overly please with, so I've bunged them in Picasa rather than flickr.
http://picasaweb.google.com/martypg/...95437554466834 - this was about twice the size of a normal wasp.
http://picasaweb.google.com/martypg/...95637478653970 - hmm veiny.
http://picasaweb.google.com/martypg/...96220597731346 - and an abstract, though I'm not really that sure about it.

Thanks for the comments on the bee everyone, was pleased with the way it came out.
Ish - the owls look cool, I'd like to get a nice clear view of some out of cages where the light is good.
I bought a new lens on FridayGot a good deal. Can you guess what it is from these pics? A little clue is that the last shot was taken from about 6-7 feet away from the cat!
Obviously it's not the wide angle I wanted, they are SO expensive!

I have a photo album that my Mum got for me years ago (when I was still shooting with my film SLR) that is thick black card pages divided by white thick tracing paper like stuff. The cover of the album itself is black and very discreet.
Pictures get mounted straight onto the card and protected from sticking together by the tracing paper. It's very nice. Think it cost quite a bit and I don't know where it was from (but it was high street) but it's the best 'album' I've seen/used.

I'm off to a butterfly farm on Saturday with my camera. Hope to post some good shots when I get back.
The owl shots were taken with my macro. It makes a fantastic portrait lens but getting far enough back from subjects can be a nightmare!
