And finally an "arty" one. Know nothing from a rhythym magazine. Its a simple sunset (a really photo I promise you and not a gradient fill).

Is it wrong that I've created a Flickr set called The Capn's Body Parts?

Aye, that's just a concept photo.

                Dust-spec tastic?

And yes it is wrong about your body parts

Took a few on Monday (non-photography day ) while at the beach for an evening stroll.

Been experimenting with the lens as wide as it'll go (18mm) on the kit lens.

This one may depend a lot on the settings/viewing angle of your monitor, it may look like a black mess but on my 2 screens there is quite a lot of detail in the dark areas. I do run my brightness very high though. Shame the sky didn't have some more clouds for this one.

What do you guys do about monitor settings? It's something I've come in for some stick about on that B&W shot of my cat. People saying they can't see anything except paw etc. maybe they don't have their monitors set up right?

Obviously just holiday snap quality - you guys are on some next level ****, but I thought I may as well post these in here (got some more but my battery died importing them), here is some towers on Isla Mujeres, some pics of the Mayan ruins at Chichen Icha and me feeling very, very relaxed Oh its Mexico by the way

Whoops - didn't notice you guys are in the middle of a challenge, got some reading to do it would seem

When cameras go wrong (or at least when you move them from a very cold room too quickly)...

Had a lot of that in India going from an AC room to the humid moist outdoors, took about 5 mins to de-mist every time, real pain in the arse.

How are you finding the camera Fumi? I assume you mean D-Lux 2 rather than the Digilux 2 (ridiculously similar names).

I just picked one up second hand the other day. I have just sold my Digilux 2 and bought an Epson R-D1 but I miss the leica so decided to grab the DLux2 as it was cheap...

Well, getting moisture inside a load of delicate electronic components...
