Glad you liked the 'amp' shot winky - it's a real fave of mine too

The milk splash shot is great - very cool!

I have the 50mm f1.8 too - what a wonderful lens that is - I use it for all my live music shots as it lets in so much light. I did consider replacing it with the f1.4 version, but that's quite expensive and I don't honestly think that extra 0.4 would make a huge amount of difference.

      Any suggestions? Thanks.
This seems to be very reasonable, good reviews with an overall 4 star rating

Personally I wouldn't buy anything but a decent brand SD card, too many problems in the past with cheap ones. Go for a Sandisk, more money, but also more peace of mind...

They're probably Toshiba cards with Play labels stuck on top of them ( the couple I have for the cheap point and shoots are, after peeling back the label to see what was underneath ) - for the price difference though, I'd still go for the Sandisk.

nthing the suggestion to go for the better branded stuff. Your peace of mind is without a doubt worth a few extra quid. Not that Toshiba would knowingly produce bad SD cards - they are one of the inventors of the format - but Sandisk are pretty much the standard for people taking hundreds of photos every day..

The SanDisk Extreme III's also come with backup software should your card cock up, which is nice (I know you could get said software off the net, but it saves a bit of hassle at least).

Yup, I'm pretty much decided on the Extreme III SDHC 4GB. Picking up the camera in an hour or so (Although I'll have to wait for the card).

You never know, might kindle some enthusiasm for photography and I might finally give in to my desire for an SLR at some point. Which I've wanted for ages for no rational reason at all.

[PointBreak]Photography is a trip dude, man! Yeah, it's like so out there - you have to become the camera....be the finder of views and also, let the views find you, compadre![/PointBreak]

Good luck with the new camera no.45 - look forward to seeing your results (what are you getting?).

EDIT: Sorry, just seen you are getting a Panasonic TZ3

RE: Sandisk - they are ace, I use them myself. No real harm in using other makes but Sandisk are reliable and quick. I only mentioned the play.com card as it was good value and had very good user reviews. Play.com have some very competitive prices for the Sandisk cards, with free P&P too!

Don't want to turn this into a 'holiday snaps' thread, but here's some I got in Oslo.

Full gallery (which is said holiday snaps) here.

The TZ3's a nice camera, as far as I can tell.
Certainly some nice shots have been taken with it: http://www.flickr.com/cameras/panasonic/dmc-tz3/

Fuse, that last one is simply astonishing! I think the ones you posted here are the best ones in terms of stand-alone photographs, but I really like some of the ones in the sculpture park too.

The light in Oslo looks amazing.

Agreed with Dan, I really like that tube/train platform shot.

Aye that platform shot really stands out - lots of things there to make it work.
