yeah, but it can be fiddly. there are a few apps that 'snag' the url of the clip you are watching and save the .flv file, then convert it to .mp4 video for example.

i'm on a Mac, so i click whatever i want to watch (in Safari) then open up the 'Activity' window and copy the url. paste that into a new tab and save the file. then i use iSquint to convert it. it's quicker than it sounds (honest) as YouTube stuff is normally only a few mb.

I had a problem with it not playing any videos last year and installing the latest Flash and Shockwave players, along with an ActiveX update, fixed it. I use Firefox 2.
