I used to be a big fan of Five Star when I was a kid. I still have their first two albums on record here with me in Japan. May have a listen to Silk & Steel tonight as a tribute.

Silk & Steel was my first ever real album bought but it was on tape. I still remember my dad talking me to Woolworths in Old Swan (area of Liverpool) to buy it on the way to nanna's house in Runcorn. The tape is still in the attic of my Parents home.
My second ever album, also on tape was the Transformers movie soundtrack 😅

              105, excellent innings.
A proper legend who we all owe gratitude to.

Yes we do, from the male pilots who were on the front line to the female pilots doing the ferrying between the factories and airbases.

Thanks to them we have the freedoms today that we take for granted, for example when you buy a car you have a choice, you are not limited to buying one from a manufacturer who has the slogan "Vorsprung durch Technik".

"The gratitude of every home in our Island, in our Empire, and indeed throughout the world, except in the abodes of the guilty, goes out to the British airmen who, undaunted by odds, unwearied in their constant challenge and mortal danger, are turning the tide of the world war by their prowess and by their devotion. Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few."

                Winston Churchill.

King Solomon's Mines was on TV quite often when I was really young. Blatant Temple of Doom knock-off but fun for its time. Haven't seen it in ages. Might dig it out for a tribute watch.

                        RIP.

Well behind the times but I was watching the whole series and special of Life's too Short. I'd never seen it before.
Anyway, after watching the final special I went to see what the 80s celebrities were up to these days only to find out Cheggers had died back in 2017 or there abouts.
As he was someone I grew up watching it was a genuine "aw, aye, seriously?" type of moment.
Maybe I had heard about his death in the past and had completely forgotten about it but seeing him in something that in my mind was new (I know life's too short was from 2011) then finding out he was dead was quite the shock.

                            Richard Norton has passed away.
He was an Australian martial artist, actor and stunt co-ordinator. He was a bodyguard for celebrities too, including Abba,

Loads of action movie people have been sending their condolences like Cynthia Rothrock, Don Wilson, Benny Urquidez, Chuck Norris, Robert Patrick, Scott Adkins and James Gunn, whom he worked with on Suicide Squad. He's always come across as really friendly in all his interviews and can understand why he's so well thought of in action royalty.

I think I first saw him in Jackie Chan's "City Hunter", but one of my fave fights is him taking on Sammo Hung in "Twinkle, Twinkle, Lucky Stars":

I'd never heard that Crispin Glover is his son but once you know you can't fail to see the resemblence

                                Damn.

First time I saw him was in China O'Brien with Cynthia Rothrock.

His favourite role of mine was as the villain in Magic Crystal alongside Rothrock and Andy Lau.

                                RIP.
