Went over to Fife today, Ardross Farm for some of their award winning beef, some lamb and other bits and bobs. Stopped at Anstruther for a fish supper (eat in).

Cracking, both finalists in that Gary Rhodes Local Food Heroes programme.

M&S Friends & Family discount for the win eh, managed to spend £50 before the discount in there myself today

Back to dinner, pair of toasted bacon sandwiches and half a box of Lindt chocolates. Made sure kids had proper dinners though.

I went for the homemade kebab option in the end. Lamb kofta's with flatbreads, salad and yoghurt. Lovely stuff.

Made a killer cottage pie yesterday. Started by frying off some mince and set it aside, then put half a bottle of red wine, some beef and vegetable stock, some Henderson's relish and some seasoning in a pot and brought to a simmer, put the mince in, fried some celry, carrot and shallots/onions and added to the stock and mince, cooked for two hours on minimal heat. Made some mash by combining potato and swede with creme fraiche, milk, butter and salt & pepper. Topped the pie with some lovely mature cheddar made with beer which I got at a farmers market. The whole thing was off the chain.

Tonight am going to be having either sausage, egg and chips or possibly some pork chops with a cider sauce.

Hendersons relish for the win. That does sound like a proper mans tea.

Wife's doing salmon which will no doubt have been having a bath in something for a few hours - least it's not raw.

Served with a bowl of Japanese rice, some goya and chillies.

My mate Steve who you met tried the Hendersons the other night and proclaimed it is better than Lea & Perrins.

I am loving it across chips, or on baked beans. When you come down in April I will need another bottle for sures.

No danger, I read that link you sent me about Richard Hawley selling it at his concerts. You can buy sheffield wednesday hendersons sometimes as well.

Missus making a spag bol today. Her spag bol is awesome and I can't wait. Tomorrow night am going to slow roast a lovely pork joint with some apples and shallots then make a cider infused gravy/sauce by deglazing the roasting tin. Few herby roast spuds and some fresh carrots or something - maybe peas. Mmmm.

Why do you need to lose weight? Surely the chick-boys are used to having plenty of heavy-arsed Brit sex tourists jumping their bones?
