One of these places opened in Ealing recently; http://tigerstores.co.uk/

They sell these Swedish 'Lant Chips' and they are f'ing gorgeous. So far I've only tried the Sour Cream flavour, and whilst it's a fairly subtle flavour there is a great crunch to them and in general they are up there with the titans of crisp-based goodness. And only £1 a bag!

Not strictly snacking news, but I was in Asda yeasterday and they have started selling "Dave's Insanity Sauce". Perviously I used to get mine online so jobs a good 'un!

Just had some "Asda "Extra Special" Scottish Heather Honey BBQ Flavour" crisps. Not bad, not bad... too much salt though.

I wasn't a fan of them. They were ok, but nothing special, and certainly not "Extra Special".

I got them in lieu of not being able to get Kettle chips this week... they're certainly no contender. I have some of the West Country Cider Vinegar ones to eat later on as well. Sure they'll be similar (the steak & peppercorn ones were too salty n all)

Wow, never thought that would happen there. I may have to go back one day, I remember it having a pretty awseome snooker hall although the walk up that hill to town was a right killer

Not as hot going by the Scoville Units, but trust me, the Daves stuff is plenty hot!

Exciting Kettle Chip news! My local corner shop has some new flavours, honey barbecue and tomato and basil. May be others too but I only had a quick glance. The only thing is that they're the 150g big bags. I'm willing to risk the fatness to try them though.

Only a shame I'd already bought a 150g bag of cheddar and onion from the Co-Op this morning when doing my weekly shop. Looking forward to these bad boys during the F1 today and tomorrow. The Co-Op also do big bags of Tyrrel's. AMAZING SCENES!

The Honey BBQ ones aren't bad, not tried the others.

I like the mango chutney Walkers. Word in your shell-like though Lineker - lose the puns.

Probably doesn't deserve it's own thread so thought this seemed as good as any to talk about it, but...WHAT THE HELL has happened to Ribena? I remember when it was a real treat, as it's expensive, but full of flavour.

Now...it's just water! No matter how much "Ribena" I put in the glass, when diluted it's just...rubbish. It most certainly doesn't taste like it used to!

Agree. I used to live off the stuff (on holidays) when I was younger. Nowadays it just tastes vile.

I wouldn't even mind, but it's ridiculously expensive still! It'll be the last bottle we buy in this household, back to Tesco High Juice I feel!

Does it still have the silly gold foil on the cap?

                                Yes mate, it certaily does.

Probably real gold, hence the price.
