I am currently working on floating week off, then 2 weeks off on holiday (No where) Look like right timing. So if there is a week strike or whatever, please do it next two weeks.

Don't forget Halo 3 postal orders might be affected.

Because it'd disrupt your holiday pay plans? Think about others who are affected by this.

You ruined the last thread about this mate, why don't you just stop before you get another one locked.

Oh and by the way, strikes affect Posties too so why don't YOU think about others as well.

Maybe when you've got a job you'll be entitled to an opinion on this. 'til then I'd advise you to keep schtum to save you offending all of us who work for a living.

Oh well that's OK then. I suppose I should just kiss any hope of a decent living wage goodbye. Who needs a mortgage anyway? I can just go on the dole and get a council house like all the other losers! And pensions? Pensions, smenshions. I'll have worked myself to death long before I'm old enough to find my pension has been made worthless by years of employer under-investment! So long as everyone gets their bank statements and catalogues, it will all be fine!

I say that, so if the strike happens on my day off or week off it will means my pay will be unaffected. Not rocket science. But the downside is increased workload when I come back. Nothing wrong with that.

Absolutely right, for the customers it doesn't make a great deal when the strikes happen because ANY strike is disruptive, there's nothing wrong with wanting it to happen whilst you are off work because that way you aren't affected for a change.

Rumours I've heard are the end of this month by the way...

When's these 6 o'clock starts meant to be happening then?
They surely can't expect to go btw next week you'll be starting an hour later, have fun.

Any more attacks on anyone (including, but not limited to, slurs aimed at Royal Mail staff in general) and people will find themselves losing their posting privileges, and this thread will be locked.

Don't mean to come over as a twat here, but this is the third thread on the current RM situation if I remember rightly, and I don't want there to have to be a fourth. We all know that people feel aggrieved by the strikes themselves, that does not give anyone the right to have a go at any other member of our forum.

People's lives are being effected by these strikes (whether other people choose to believe that or not) and it's stressful enough for them without reading small-minded comments from folks on here - a place where most people come to get away from all the daily rubbish.

                              Thanks,
                              -Keith.

October 8th. You'll be getting a letter tomorrow explaining it.
