They delivered the mail when it was delivered out of a grey sack from the front of a bike that looks like your mums shopper!!

It's very easy to be so blase about it, but "get another job" is just not an answer for many people.
I've been made redunant 3 times in my working life, no time to prepare, no alternative job waiting, just out the door with less than one month wages in hand and you know what, there really are other jobs out there. I managed to find work again as well as all the other people that were made redundant.
I have no special skills, no amazing qualifications I'm just an average guy. But I tell you what I am, hard working reliable and not afraid to try something new or to take a step down in a job to work up to another.

According to the news this morning, unofficial strikes are continuing in Liverpool today?

Are we likely to see some post today in Kent?

Decent bonus? If I got that I would say it was average. Then again I am looking at the stand point that the overtime I put in is stupidly high for the bonus we get back and the starting wage.

If you don't have to do much overtime then that's a good bonus. Swings and roundabouts. I was pretty much stretched to breaking the government rules last year and taking action.

I think we pretty did 6 months solid overtime.

I only got about one months wages extra for the whole year as bonus.

Should be unaffected on non strike days, on strike days the managers are out delivering them but i don't think it's guaranteed next day.

Our office bonus was 400 quid but the target was impossible so we got ?1.63 bonus in the end

I think the Royal Mail do a great job and I've not had any complaints about them. Well, not until the last strike, which caused stuff to take days and in some cases weeks to get delivered thanks to the backlog created. I also lost a couple of items during that time which is kind of ironic.

It's no wonder the likes of Amazon now use TNT instead of Royal Mail. More will follow after this total farce no doubt. It's like a throw back to the dark days in the 80s, which is sad as I thought as a country we had grown up since then.

add to all this todays wildcat walk outs in Liverpool and London and the last shred of (admittedly very limited) sympathy I had for this lot has totally evaporated.

throwback to the 80's ? reminds me more of the classic film Carry on at your Conveniance set in WC Boggs factory.
