You'll be fine on the main roads I would think, but as soon as you get a little off the beaten track it's horrible. It might start to look better but I think it's going to get worse as daytime melting/nighttime freezing begins.

Snowing in Basingstoke again apparently, though not too heavy at the moment. The ramp here at work is also starting to ice over, so I might not be able to move my car again.

It's motorway driving all the way really. M8, M6, M1 then in to London itself. I assured my slightly worried family it'll be fine!

If he's called The Dog, does that mean every time he goes to deliver a letter he has to bite his own hand?

I bet this is our very own Dogg Thang.

He's a lunatic is what he is.

4-5 hours, the busiest time of the year, in sub-zero conditions, people slipping over.

Not funny if you are forced to go out in that, even if you voice concerns that you feel it's unsafe.

No the folks had them fitted last summer to save gas, they got a goverment grant thing due to their age. Reflected light as you say.

Ended up phoning the plumber, and he gave some free advice over the phone and it worked. Full heat and hot water service resumed at Skull HQ

Walking in the snow, over a fresh covering, from VP's house to the pick-up point. Absolutely stunning. A shot of Wild Turkey swimming around me, keeping me warm. Flakes tickling my face. Barely a noise, but every one as clear as crystal. The snow crunching underfoot, seeming to insulate every sound, the streets echoing and feeling closed-in, almost cosy, and every bletch sounding ten times louder. Those streets usually feel open and barren, almost threatening. Tonight it felt safer, relaxing, gentle, beautiful. Even a gang of toughs look innocent. Although that might be the booze.

                            Total contentment.
                            That is snow. Superb. lol.

Amazingly, even though we've not actually had any snowfall since wednesday, the snow in my garden is still "crunchable" and looks fresh.

Our close it horrendous now, can't get out in first gear the incline is so frozen.

By Christ is it cold today though!

All the snow around is starting to crystalise a bit and get fairly hard now. It's snowing at the moment, had another driving lesson cancelled which is a pain in the arse (got to have passed before may otherwise my theory runs out).
