It's still pretty bad round my way.

Buses are ridiculous with timetables and routes changed with no warning. I'll be walking in to work tomorrow.

It's been warm today, around 4 degrees! Snow is slowly started to melt a bit.

We had about another inch last night in Basingstoke. Needed momentum and a bit of luck to get out of my drive this morning.

I slipped on the walk from the car to the office on Friday (After not wanting to go in) and it's given my back some trouble. Which means no gym for me for a few days.

Today is definately the final straw for it. It's still everywhere but most of it seems to have settled into ice.

Just dropped our son off nursery and there had been another layer of snow over night. Roads were crazy icey. Flew out at several junctions. Fortunately no cars coming, but I made the decision to turn back and work from home today instead of chancing it.

We had some more snow overnight here. Woke up to slush everywhere I miss the crunchy snow.

Took our eldest to school and our youngest fell over on ice in the playground.

Would one more day off have hurt that much?

Seems like people are pushing to get into work, we were due in today building is open but no way we can make it, reports of accidents on roundabouts and such along the way are all over the local radio too

Looks like we're all too eager to get back to work :P

Are you asking if I should have kept my son at home today, or...?

I think the roads are crazy out there at the moment. People bombing along, but I found it to be more slippery today than at any time in recent weeks.

No, I'm saying I don't think our local schools should have been opened today! The snow is now pure sheet ice and they've only cleared SOME of the pavements around the school. My youngest slipped on ice in the playground directly outside my eldests classroom.

It just seems stupid to me, if it's at all dangerous to get then at an infants school I hardly feel that another day or two is going to seriously damage their education.

Just looked out the window. It must have snowed pretty damn heavy last night, there's more snow out there than there's ever been, and it's still lightly snowing now.

Boiler has packed in at work, no heating or water. Day off win!
