Why the **** are PDF files so ****ing annoying. I try opening them up in Mozilla, take 5 minutes to open up and then when I need to close them, they take another 5 minutes to close and then it crashes the browser.

Also oyster cards are such a piece of ****. Topped up the cap limit for today and for some reason, swiping in and out of the same station within a period of 5 minutes charges you an unauthorised fare (£4), and the stupid customer service people don't know why it happens and can't refund or reverse the charge. The guy even said to use paper tickets in future. For ****s sake.

I got an Oyster card today (well, I ordered it on Tuesday and it got here in today's post). I got fed up with seeing "We are selling you a travel card as it's cheaper than a return ticket" even when I only want to go two stops! Should save me a bit of money... if it works properly...

they are the greatest and worst things ever.

i use/produce them all the time and find it amazing that people don't actually tweak the settings according to what the file displays.

they are fine for CAD drawings, as vectors take no space at all. but anything with a raster file and people have a massive brainfart and whack up the quality, even if it's for sending in an email. 8mb for 3 pages? idiots.

the most evil offenders are the kind of slobs who put pdf's *into* pdf's when using Indesign. yeah, it's easy and quick but the file size goes through the roof and makes my machine grind so much, it makes Jesus' live-in boyfriend cry.

I love the people that send you a screen grab - in a lovely pdf or .doc container, why do they feel like they have to 'contain' an attached file.

Either because they're, like you say, idiots, or because a fair few email servers are configured to block JPG/GIF/etc... attachments.
