I was in a newsagent(s) today. I generally don't go into them because they're bloody tiny and you can't move without knocking half the display over (I'm not even fat), but I can't leave a stone unturned in my quest to find the Earthbound cover of Edge.

When did there get to be so much porn? When I was a kid it was on the top shelf, I went into this shop and it was on the top four, I had to crouch down just so I didn't look like a pervert.

As of 4.30am tomorrow (Thursday morning), I'll be on my way to Heathrow to fly to St Lucia for a fortnight.

This time last year, I was in New York.

When arrived back from there, I was standing on the moving-floor conveyor belt where a great long banner advertisement stretched across the wall showing a golden sandy beach, crystal blue sea and a palm tree drooping over the clear blue skies.

It was there and then when I decided to go.

Here's something I've never understood; why are bluebottle flies called such when they are in fact green?

Anyone know the name of those desktop things you can get that tell you the alignment of the planets and work out the seasons etc?

I thought it was called a Planetarium, but that could just be those big projection things you find in a museum.
