In all seriousness don't bother with face masks - seriously they're not much protection.
Everyone's facial features are different so unless you get one that's been fit tested (and then it won't be disposable and therefore a damn sight more expensive) then there'll be gaps for germs to get in.
Secondly the do little to protect you - it's a common misconception. In fact it's an act of being considerate if you're wearing one because it's actually to protect others in the event that you may be infected. Any face mask you wear will contains your coughs and sneezes, but it will not act as a barrier to germs on the outside getting in. Therefore unless everyone is wearing them to contain their germs, then there's not much point.
You're just better off performing proper hand washing regularly (which is a lost art tbh) and staying away from large groups of people to minimise exposure.

Thing is, you wash your hands after going to the toilet, then, in our (work) building the exit door is a pull door, so you have to open the door where every other scummy git has .. after not washing their hands. Bit of a design flaw there by the architects. Exit doors from toilets should always be push type affairs so you can use your foot or shoulder etc.
rant over.

Therefore washing your hands is more to protect other people.
