Also, I'm fairly certain it was the same people that called me a couple of weeks ago claiming to be an opinion poll, asking me some fairly innocuous questions (to which I made up answers) and then slipping in things like "what's your favourite colour?" wtf. Maybe password fishing?

Turned out it was TalkTalk and unfazed, she decided to try and sell me some stuff.
I said:
"Before you go on, I used to be with Nildram, who were the best broadband provider in the UK, but they got bought by Tiscali who got bought by Opal who got bought by Carphonewarehouse who got bought by TalkTalk, at which point it turned into the worst broadband provider in the UK, so I changed to another company that I pay ?30 a month to for a rather specialist package that you almost certainly cannot (or want to) possibly compete with, because my exchange isn't unbundled".

"No problem sir, we've improved, won awards and stuff and we can give you [loads of stuff - talks at me for about 2 mins listing stuff]. We just need to do a line check"

After faffing about with the line-check for a further 3 minutes she said:
"Sorry, we cannot help you because you are a non-LLU customer".

"Welcome to 5 minutes ago...."

"Have a good evening sir, goodbye"
