Just in case you aren't joking around.

It's blue because it uses a blue laser (cd and dvd drives use red). It has a smaller wave length so they can pack more funk on a disc.

The laser used to read Bluray discs is a blue light iirc.
Anyhoo, Purplray would be my choice if we could have different colours of teh rayz.
