Did any of you develop any other heightened senses during your stint of poorly ears? X-ray vision perhaps? Sorry, I shouldn't make fun - glad you're hearing's returned to normal.

I've been reading Slash's autobiography recently and at one point, G 'n' R were doing a show in Europe with Aerosmith, Lenny Kravitz and Jeff Beck. Jeff Beck sat down on the drum rise and Matt Sorum was setting up to do a sound check and smacked realy hard on one of his (incredibly loud) cymbals. Jeff was sat almost right underneath the cymbal and it completely FUBAR'd his hearing - for good! His hearing has NEVER returned properly, so take heed and look after your ears people!

Lol. No super powers unfortunately, but I was in such a foul, irritable mood for two weeks, that I would've made a great villain.

The whole experience, unpleasant as it was, has made me much more appreciative of things that I've previously taken for granted. Not just being able to hear in stereo again, which is unbelievably awesome, but the care I received from the NHS. Dunno what I would've done if I'd been shipwrecked on a desert island with this problem. Cut off my ear probably.

Bah, just saw a doctor and have been told I've got tonsillitis, and looking likely that I've got/will be having an abscess that will need to be drained for pus.

Got to work this morning after two days off on leave. Pinned to my computer screen is a ransom-style note. Someone has kidnapped my Pikachu off the top of my printer and left this:

            Sean

Pikachu has been secretly emitting electric discharges due to neglect by you and boredom! We have removed him for his own safety, the safety of others, the protection of electrical equipment and as a fire precaution.

If you want him back you must love him every day and give him a squidge. Contact the Pokemon Liberation Front (The PLF) if you can adhere to these demands and IF you can find us.

            Signed

            The PLF

The thing is, I work in a psychiatric hospital, so there is an equal chance that this could be a wind up or an actual serious situation.

Big homie, you should notify security, you could have a hostage situation on your hands.........

The question you need to ask yourself is - if your squidge's are up for the challenge...........

I might just bring another Pokemon in from home, and pretend it didn't happen. That will show them!

Until bits of him start arriving in the post - you can't explain that one away so easily.

In other news, why the hell do I always find out about those cool Gashapon Stylus releases when it's too late? As well as looking bad cool they're the right size to replace my humongous Pac-man stylus which, although it makes for a better grip, is starting to do my head in.

                  Bugger it all.

Anyone know any good places to buy wallets (online)?

****ty thing from Next my sister bought me is falling apart, wouldn't mind getting a semi-decent one, and seeing as when I was looking at watches way back when the 'post your watch thread' came up trumps in finding a new'un, was just wondering if anyone had any pearls of wisdom to share on this subject too.

What kind of watch are you interested in? If its an everyday watch, I'd go for a Seiko.. I've had one for years and never had any problems with it!

Already sorted my watch dilemma - went for a Skagen 233XLTMB

112, not a bad idea, cheers. Amount of times I end up using it to buy things is unreal, but at same time wouldn't mind doing a bit of a browse on a 'normal' website first.

Just failed my driving test. Slightly gutted, mainly about the cost of the whole thing rather than the whole failing aspect.
