Heh. I was the bully in one bullying incident. We had a kid in my class who used to go bat-**** mental when he was angry and that was a laugh, so my mate suggested we wind him up by flicking his ears and annoying him until he lost it.

Part way through this torture, I got a clump around my ear and I turned around to tell someone to f... off and I saw our deputy headmaster ready to whack me again! Dragged off by the sideburn (hurts more than using the ear, I can tell you!), I looked back at the kid we were winding up and saw tears welling up in his eyes, and then it dawned on me, that we weren't just having a bit of fun, I was bullying him and I felt like a complete ****.... Never had I felt such disappointment and disgust with myself (especially as I had more than my share of bullying by older, bigger lads).

I got a complete bollocking, detention, etc. and a letter written to my Dad (who went ****ing mental, as he hates bullies) and I had to keep a low profile at school for the next two years, as one more infraction of any kind or I was out. They were going to suspend me for two weeks but for my Dad promising 'you leave him to me...'. It was about 2 weeks of silent malevolence (interspersed with snarling threats of a thrashing) at home, too (and he was way more terrifying than any teacher).

So, yeah, not my proudest moment.

Not only are the Russian politicians blaming Georgia for the conflict etc... but now... we have Russian people posting letters on British Newspaper websites, blaming Georgia, and claiming " The West have been brainwashed by Georgia's victim status - and that Russia are completely innocent"

One guy, who wrote a letter to the Guardian, went on and one about why Georgia are guilty, and that the West should side with Russia, because Georgia are the real aggressors.

The scary thing is the fact that his words are probably enough to convince some people.

        The facts are these:

        1. Russia masterminded the conflict - by funding and supporting rebel forces in Georgia. They made sure Georgia had to react to the situation. It really is a like a game of chess. Russia think they are very clever.

        2. Russia simply don't want any of their surrounding neighbours to embrace the west. They are arrogant - and nasty enough, to use bully-boy tactics.

        3. The simple truth is that Russia won't accept the fact that they aren't a Superpower. They are hellbent on the ridiculous dream - that they can be as powerful as America and the EU.

What Russia are doing - is not only damaging Georgia, but also it's own peoples reputation. They will become a disliked country once again - and start a cold war.

I don't think what they are doing is good for Russia. The Russian people should demand democracy - and to embrace Europe. Being hostile, arrogant, and xenophobic, is ridiculous.

Russia should learn to be warm and friendly - and then they will find success and the respect of the world.

So pleased I was home in time to watch the 100m Men's Final live, blooming amazing viewing considering he stopped trying at around 90m, surely he could have knocked another tenth off if he'd pushed all the way to the line.

I too am trying to loose a bit of excess weight. Started going out on my bike a couple of weeks back and managing a couple of times a week. Managing about 4 miles per trip, but hoping to gradually increase it to 8 miles. Definatly feeling fitter already. Also trying to eliminate sugar from my tea, as I managed it with coffee last year. I used to take 2 sugers per cup, but now I'm down to half a spoon per cup.

Why does it look like City 17 or a shot from the Half-Life 2 art book?

                      Is that real?

                          Piece by piece mr holliss..........

You can see that the crane isnt THAT tall, cos its built off a part of the building and not from ground zero.

Looks amazing that building - only in Dubai of course.........

How many times do you think yah ears will pop going up there? I bet there isnt an elevator that goes from nought to the top.

                            I've been skanked.

The missus had spent 70 quid on 2 twenty20 tickets for the England game at the Riverside tomorrow for my birthday, but it's been called off 24 hours in advance due to the ground being like a pool. We rang up to enquire about a refund - they actually charge £1.40 to process a refund! What a bunch of lousy tossrags.

Also, she ordered me a baseball glove, that's too small for me.

It's going to be a very makeshift day! Pub food and pints seems like a solution at this point.
