I HATE the cadbury ads. Everyone went nuts over that C**TING gorrila playing the drums...Its a guy in a F*cking suit, get a grip people!! Then that goddamn airport race...what a load of ****! Now the kids with CG F*cking eyebrows, can't people tell the difference between reallity and CG anymore, the eyebrows are so fake its unreal!!

Agreed. I hate adverts that have nothing to do with the product. Why would watching a gorilla play the drums or kids eyebrows having a fit make me want to buy chocolate? It doesn't!

It wouldn't directly make you, but that's not what the advert's for. I dare say you've thought about Cadbury's chocolate about 500x more since the new adverts than you would normally, and with it at the forefront of your mind it's only natural that you'll want some eventually. That, and the discussion it generates means the adverts are working even when people haven't seen them.

Just because it's not got a sexy rabbit sounding erotic, doesn't mean it's not effective!

Yeah but Cadbury's chocolate is wank. I see or hear of their adverts and immediately think about buying better chocolate instead, such as Galaxy or Lindt.

So their adverts can work in reverse.

But if you don't spend all your money on kids, you can hire people to look after you in your twilight years, and they won't be hoping you snuff it at any moment so they can get their grubby paws on your will and suck the last drop of water from the well, along with the government. On the contrary, assuming they want to stay in their job, they have an interest in keeping you going.
