Reminds me of an old poster for a snowboarding game (Cool Boarders?) which got pulled down for suggesting the person in the advert was addicted to "powder".

Tis a photoshop job, really a poster about littering...

Yeah it is, and I'll admit I fell for it until someone told me it's a 'shop. I just thought Belfast did things differently to London

I saw it on that "news" website hotukdeals has links to in a side bar. I thought it was real at first too!

Time for some shameless self promotion.

I have a new album out in the new year. Check out the preview here:

If you like what you hear, then spread the word.

"The concept for this album coalesced and took form over time. The title was initially inspired by a very mystical dream I had a couple of years ago, where I found myself at one point looking at my own arm in front of me, only instead of looking as it normally does, I could see stars and constellations in place of skin. It was as though I was looking at outer space inside my own body."

I never have dreams that cool! I have the t-rex from Jurassic Park chasing me and nonsense like that

Will check it out tomorrow. I remember you posted some stuff a while back and I loved it, so looking forward to this!

                    Question:

Does a CDR/DVDR have to be spotless if you're going to burn on it? I've always thought bits and blemishes would muck up the recording(once I burned a CD that had a little bit of fluff on it and when I removed the fluff, the dye underneath hadn't been touched!)...

From experience, very minor marks aren't a problem, although I've only found that out in desperate times- ie needing to burn some documents off with only one disc left, and having no choice. If I have more, I'll bin the marked ones. I think deeper marks are a more serious problem. edit- of course, I could be completely wrong.

Most CD burning software has the verify option, that will tell you if any data is borked

Just seen a man with a tat of a knuckle duster on the side of his throat. Nice

Cheers, but my issue was I needed to take some DVDRs from the office to another site and only had little plastic sleeves to carry them in. Usually I'll put two blank discs in one sleeve(with their dye sides inside) to keep them mark/dust-free. Plus it was 6GB of data copying over a network and the woman would've blamed IT if it didn't burn properly and I was in a rush. Usually I keep spare jewel cases for these purposes.

Never mind, in the end I just gave her the three blank DVDRs and told her to get on with it. I was curious as to what the error correction was like more than anything else.

                            Plus I think XP's built-in burning doesn't verify, but I can't remember.
