    Amazing scenes
Awesome stuff, in a week of lacklustre footy at times, it's nice to see some real commitment.

I'm falling asleep now, a boring stalemate, it was fun for the first 2 hours, Lord knows how the 8 hour crew are staying awake.

For the record..I did find it amazing and I love my tennis, playing and watching...this is boring me.

I remember when they said "longest game in history" I felt part of viewing History...I'm off to the Germany game now!

        Still going. 52-51!

52-53, this is insane. I'm amazed they're still playing quite well, tiredness has got to set in soon surely?!

Mahut just served the 84th Ace of the match

I don't know if I feel more sorry for whoever loses, or whoever wins and has to play again so soon.

I don't think a display of this kind of stamina, consistency and sheer mental strength can be called boring. These two guys are still playing great tennis 105 games in to the set, i've got the footy on the laptop while this goes on, but it's only getting the odd glimpse.

Absolutely, it's quite an awesome sight really. They should invent some kind of award for these guys.

Isner really looks like he's struggling now. Sooner or later surely they've got to stop and let them rest?

I agree, Isner has looked ready to collapse for a while now, but then he comes out with yet another powerful serve or excellent forehand. As you mentioned though, this game will destroy the winner for the next match. I'd go for Mahut to edge it at this point, but both deserve credit, quite incredible.

They have to stop this soon, surely? Isner can't even move. Let the guys get some sleep ffs!

Apparently Mahut beat Bogdanovic 24-22 or something similar in the second qualifying round. The man's a machine! I see many Michael Chang comparisons in the future - his ability to just keep on plugging away was always amazing to watch.

My friend just told me. I am laughing. It is amazing isn't it.

I told him to f-off...thought he was playing.

Finally abandoned for the night, the umpire really should have called that before now on health and safety grounds.

And Isner still wanted to keep going, despite shuffling around like a zombie! Gutted i'll miss the outcome tomorrow. That dive Mahut took for the shot in the last few games was just ridiculous, what an effort!

I was also astonished at how long these players went on for.

Why on earth wasn't there the usual tie-break at 6-6 (or 7-7?) that they normally have in tennis?
