Mmm. I suppose the green rims look OK against a yellow car. I'm intending to get the wheels on my car refurbished this summer and fancy making them a different colour. It won't be green against the silver bodywork and red calipers! I'm thinking anthracite centre and spokes with a polished rim. Might look a bit like a faux split rim though.

unfortunally mine was wrecked by a 18 year old girl getting driving lessons from her father on a big parking (she panicked and hit the gas instead of the brake and hit my car...)
I was NOT amused when left the store and I saw lot's of people standing where I parked my car and when I came closer I saw why.... my beautiful car was TOTALLY wrecked but some stupid girl and her idiot father that let her drive....
My car was in mint condition and I never got the true value from the insurance ... after that I went for a cheap small car and a motorbike...

Check it's not a Type RA - they have a close ratio gearbox, so are sod all use for the motorway. There are only 1000 of the TypeRs produced in the v6 so rareness.
Check for rocker cover gasket leaks (nearside normally) - dirty engine or very clean engine (sprayed).
Check for engine mods e.g. hoses - do they look tidy. Any leaks around hoses in general.
Do you get to drive it? Rag it in 4th to check for clutch slip when the turbo comes in.
Don't buy unless it's in really good condition.

The ones I'm looking at are brand new imports & come with Full service, Cambelt change & 12 monthe parts & labour warranty so all being well they will be in fairly good condition.
Just waiting for news on some pennies then I'll be booking myself to go down for a peek at them

Get yourself on there and ask if anyone with knowledge will go down to Dover with you.
Also, completely forgot.... Check if it has had a decat - look down behind the turbo and you should be able to see the bulge of the cat shortly down the zorst. If not, then passing an MOT will be interesting unless you have a very friendly MOT guy. Most people swap the cat back in for the MOT. Advantages are a bit more power. You can get sports cats though which is the route I'd take unless trying to push 350ftlb. In summary, don't let it put you off buying, but be aware you'll have to do some prep before the MOT. It will also mean it has been mapped, so see if it comes with the map details or power curves.
