iOS recommended games and applications

Yeah, I got burned by that a few months ago. Awful, awful game. The worst attempt at iPhone controls I've ever seen, they just don't work at all.

Got GodVille just now, it's an RPG that plays itself. The game is free, so give it a go! Basically, you're God, and you read a hero's diary as he does RPG stuff like fighting and levelling up. You can offer encouragement or WRATH, but that's it.

I bought it a few weeks ago and dont mind it....

The controls are horribly broken at times, but when it works its great Not super ghouls and ghosts standard, but I enjoy it

Cat Physics and Castle Smasher are both FREEEEE for a time! They're by Donut Games, who are pretty excellent.

Anyone know a fairly priced / reputable seller of Japanese iTunes cards? I quite fancy drumming my phone into Taiko oblivion.

Right guys and gals. I throw down the gauntlet for you to beat my high scores on TAP STUDIO, a guitar mania / pop'n music clone. The app is free although you do need to provide your own music. There are tens of thousands of pre-made taps to download for free.

Mine are all from Ridge Racer Revolution. I've made my own taps for the game which will really have you sweating. Just enter Yakumo in to the Tap Vault to search for my taps. A free 100 yen coin to anyone who beats my current records. Rules are that you must play on normal mode with three keys.

Erm simple really see how many baskets you can score in the allotted time. Get you score multiplier up for consecutive baskets and time extend for every clean basket scored.

So simple yet fiendishly addictive.

As much as I love castlevania, that game will need a trial version before I smackdown my 3 quid. I'll stick to Puzzle quest if it's not turn based 'combat'

Cubed Rally Racer, a completely tremendous game which I've mentioned before is 59p for a while and amazing. Please buy it. There's a new Lite version too.

Blocks Mania also still demands your money if you haven't got it yet. One of the absolute best puzzle games on the iPhone.

Both essential purchases.

Does anybody have any experience with the Tom Tom app?

My existing Tom Tom is ancient and keeps falling off the windshield whilst I'm driving. I already have a car charger and old phone cradle so it'd just be the app itself I need to get and works out as the cheapest way to get an up to date Tom Tom, albeit in software form.

I used it. It's very basic, and not as nice to look at as others (like CoPilot) but does what it says on the tin.

I've got the tomtom app, I prefer it over co-pilot, which is cheaper but takes AGES to boot up by comparison to tomtom.
I also found copilot to be very glitchy, often having to restart my entire iphone just to stop it displaying half a keyboard or something across the screen.

I've found it to work very well even without the cradle thing for boosted GPS.
