BTW I only got my first iPod touch last week but have already purchased a ton of apps because of this thread.

I'm the same. I check the NeoGaf iPod Touch thread every day & also visit Pocket Gamer/Touch Arcade/Slide to Play every morning for new goodies. I can't help myself when games are 59/99p.

Another game to look out for is this one;

Blimp - The Flying Adventures


Great graphics, really nice sounds especially through headphones. The gameplay is tight nice control system, press bottom right of screen to control ascent/descent. Tilt left and right to steer in those directions. Pick up passengers and transport them, pick up objects and bonus items. Drop the bombs you can collect on missions using the bottom left of the screen.

I'm impressed.

I have Blimp and love the look, sound and feel of it but it did grow a little dull for me after a while. Great look though. You should have avoided Silent Hill by the way. Don't reward Konami for that cack.

Edge was just pulled from the UK store by Apple. Some trademark predator has made a life for himself claiming ownership of the word 'edge' and is making trouble for the devs. They offered to change it to 'edgy' and he went and trademarked that. At least, that's what is claimed. I've been involved (vaguely) in trademarking and I'm pretty sure that wouldn't hold up but the legal costs alone are enough to bully people.

Hopefully the full game will be back up soon. I got it a while back and really like it.

Right now, I'm spending more time on the Brushes app than anything else. I have got to a stage where I'm not absolutely atrocious at it now. Which is nice.

That new Harbour Master update is pretty good. Harbour Master is a blatant Flight Control rip-off but, admittedly, they have done it well and are moving in their own direction, adding new elements and, now, pirates. It's fun.

I also got one called Moonz a little while back, which is also fun. It's very basic - you just throw items into orbit and try to add more items without them crashing. I won't give it a total thumbs up but it's worth a look if there's a lite version.

Is 'lite' even a word?

I've been reading about this tit on the IDGA forum as he's an elected director with a history of this sort of crap.

The other members are moving to get him removed because of his behavior which they quite rightly don't feel is appropriate for somebody who is a director of the IDGA.

It's worth having a look at his site if you want a laugh, just wait until the advert for their new game called Mirrors pops up to wonder why they've not had a similar suit brought against them.

It's not really me recommending these as I'm only just downloading them now but after reading a really interesting article on blindphotographers.org I've gone for Camera Bag, TiltShift & MobyPicture.

I'm sure I don't have to explain that the iPhone camera isn't exactly a top quality camera but the advantage of that is that it does give a final image that is very different to a proper camera.

I was thinking of using gift cards to get round any debit card authorising problems.

Not that I need anymore bought another load of games at the weekend. For what you pay and what you get quality wise the app store is pure WIN!
