Tattoo Thread.

my wife had a little cover up done today by an old school friend who's opened a shop just round the corner from my house..

I got this angel image and asked if he could do it for the wife.. she's happy and I think it looks pretty good..

I've gotten nowhere with mine, so i'm back to the drawing board.. but seeing the wifes made me want to start mine soon!

That's covered up well mate, good job. For me i'd ask him to add a little line to the eye to stop the face looking quite so cartoony, if you know what I mean? (Although obviously your wife is happy with it!)

yeah I know what you mean, we're going back in a few weeks, I wanted her to have more white highlights, but she'd had enough..

mine soon.. just installed photoshop and illustrator on the new mac so i'm raring to go with my design...

once Isaac is here i need to get another 3 to match ellie, pretty much in the opposite places from the others

right wrist, left forearm and just above ellies on my back

2 of them are easy but unsure about the left forearm, going to get a phrase put there that relates to my life and my children but just not really found anything that suits

right wrist will be Isaac's and charlotte's name in celtic around my entire wrist

on my back will be the same as ellies but his dob, nickname when he was in mums tummy and his name

Yeah, I'm still hovering around comic strip ideas.. Gonna do a few designs and see what sticks.

So another month another sitting.

2.5hrs in the chair last week & I finally got round to taking some pics today.

Spent most of the time getting highlights done & finishing off Prime but he looks immense I'm so pleased with him.
Got the Decepticon symbol finished so with the next sitting later this month it's all about getting straight into Soundwave so hopefully we'll break the back of that & then it will just be finishing touches & background work in January.

Anyway here is what was acclompished...






Can't wait for the next session now, dying to see how Soundwave turns out

So it's that time again another sitting in the chair

3 more hours under the belt & I though I might die with this one...some of it was mental

So here's the results of the discomfort...it was worth it (as it always is lol)




Just looking at the pics they aren't the best so might try to get some more done this week.

My artist reckons one more session & we should be done & that hopefully includes some more background detail

Anyway that's this weeks update

So I spent what I thought would be my last 3 hours in the artists chair on Saturday but it appears we need another couple of hours to add in some background detail but we are at last finished on the Transformers themselves

So the pain over the last 18hours & ?1k has resulted in this...





Painful?? Yes
Expensive?? by god was it.
Worth it?? YOU BETTER F' ING BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've wasted money on so much **** over the years but this, this has been the best money I have ever ever spent.

The subtle grading of the smoke coming from Optimus' exhaust is fantastic.

I wish I had done something like that.

I covered up my Gary Glitter tattoo with one of Jimmy Saville...
