Not on my facebook... Ha! I agree that this HAS to have been bad on purpose. There's no way anyone with their head screwed on would have allowed this to go through, is there? Surely? SIGH

Anyhoo, bollocks to that - was amazing 2 weeks. I honestly didnt care about the Olympics 2 weeks ago, but it completely pulled me in. Was inspiring. Loved it all.

...apart from the end ceremony. Which never happened. It never happened....

I had to switch off the closing ceremony as I didn't want it to taint my memories of the games, which was otherwise brilliant throughout.

If anything the closing ceremony showed just how good the opening was, but obviously the ceremony's are just a small part.

The Games have done GB proud, I'm massively impressed at what was achieved and I hope this buzz can extend into getting more people into sport. With the football season starting soon I really hope people don't just fall onto old habbits and stick with that. This forum should have a dedicated Sports sub-forum, not a dedicated Football forum!

Also, other than Colin Jackson and Trevor Nelson, the BBC were utterly brilliant and have raised the bar for covering a major event. More than justified the licence fee. Wouldn't it be nice if they had a dedicated sports channel for all the minor sports people grew to love over the past two weeks?

BBC is always the place for sport, not even the money of Sky can compete with the class. In the Grandstand days I was quite happy to watch Bowls or Darts.

The end ceremony was pretty knob, though I enjoyed gay George, Lennox, the Spice Girls & the Who.

I rather enjoyed the closing ceremony, 2 weeks where amazing, but back to reality, the country is skint, i think the funding was approved to makes us look good at a home games and of course futher the needs of the Tories and that buffoon Boris.
