If I saw that advert in the telly, I'd of thought it was a piss-take.

I haven't been able to vote, my voting station is 250 miles away, and I left it too late to sort out a postal vote. I'm afraid I'm far too cynical to think any of this makes the slightest bit of difference, but I'd probably have voted Lib Dem. Anything to keep the Tories out, but it's becoming harder and harder to use that to justify for voting for Labour... they'd of been the lesser of two evils at one point, but it's hard to say that now.

Yup, Labour haven't just been shooting themselves in the foot over the past few years, it's more like they've been doing tactical nuclear strikes on their feet.

I always vote Lib Dem anyway (as I did today) as I live in a pretty safe Tory seat and the Lib Dems are the only party with any chance of beating them here.

I ended up voting for Green. Not sure why, I think it was because they were the only ones who put in any effort to campaign round here.

Nazi voters tend to be too retarded to type properly.

Mmm, lovely. Just saw her on BBC News, shame about the party though, eh?

P.S. Why doesn't the 'strike' command work? It's ruining my coemdy posting potential.

Father in Law came over today, and said he couldn't make head nor tail of the ballot paper so he voted for the first name he saw that he knew - Rusty Lee! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rustie_Lee

Turns out she's a UKIP candidate now hehe.

That's ace. I Knew that Joan Collins was a UKIP fan but that doesn't come near Rustie Lee.

William Hague resulting to a Godwin? Yes, he went there.

2133 Shadow Foreign Secretary William Hague shrugs off the suggestion that the Polish Law and Justice Party - with whom the Tories plan to form a new European Parliament group - is homophobic. "Politics is different in Poland," he says, noting that a Polish MEP in the Socialist group once praised Hitler.
Also, it looks like the Pirate Party have won a seat in Sweden...

                            Ugh...

I know some people make 'protest votes' or whatever, but if you want to do that spoil your ballot or even - god forbid - seriously vote for a non-Labour/Tory party with decent policies. Don't even give the fascists a platform.

If they make gains in the next general election I'm out of this country. It's a ****ing embarrassment.

I'm quite annoyed by the BNP winning a vote. That's democracy I guess, people can vote for who they want, but it's depressing when the reactionary vote is the BNP rather than a positive party.

Being very familiar with West/East Yorkshire (almost all of my family living there, and myself may as well be living there) and the BNP stronghold, it's absolutely no suprise to me that they manage to grab a seat - they've traditionally been strong in that region, and this was always going to happen. I just dispair with people who are so short-sighted that they blame the easy target as the cause of society's problems. My mother votes BNP, and my father is as liberal as you can get, so I like to think that I can relate to both sides of the picture, but I'd never want to see the BNP in power, it's a negative thing for all of us.

It's quite ironic. I am very cynical towards politics, but I've traditionally voted Labour to keep the Tories out... but I find myself tempted to vote Tory in order to keep the BNP out. Bad times.

I don't like the BNP and their policies but I respect their right to exist. If you ban parties with unpopular policies, you don't have a democracy. That said our current government seem to think freedom of speech means "protecting people's right to say stuff that people like to hear".

I think it undermines the democratic process to ban people from one political party from certain jobs and for every other party to condemn anyone who votes for them.

The one's who've banned religious jokes, who've increased the severity of punishments for drugs (against the advice of scientific studies), who've introduced the thought crimes banning extreme porn (even if it features fully consenting adults and is simulated), lolicon (as distasteful as it is, who is the victim?), have made it so that a 17 year old and 18 year old can legally have sex but if the 18 year old takes a naked picture of the other, he gets put on the sex offenders register, have created the world largest surveillance network of cameras, who are systematically putting innocent children on DNA databases, despite condemnation from everyone. Lets not forget the illegal war on terror and us being complicit in torturing people and holding them without charge.

All this from our supposed 'left leaning' Labour party.

Our three choices are Labour who have changed into a right leaning party over the space of 12 years, Conservatives who are slightly further to the right but now very similar to labour and Lib Dems who are a joke and couldn't run the country. A vote for a small party isn't just a protest vote, it's a vote from people who are being ignored by the tabloid pandering main parties, especially labour who have turned the country into something I'm ashamed of.
