I had a go on an iPhone 5 yesterday in black and it does look very, very sexy but I couldn't quite get over how light it is. I've become acustomed to the heft of solidity in my 4S and dare I say it, the lack of weight in the 5 made it feel a bit cheap despite all the exotic materials in use.

O2 rep said they have thousands of folks in a queue to buy out the rest of their contracts so that they can upgrade early so I think I may wait until later this year or buy sim-free direct from Apple.

No, but harping on about the larger screen as they have is rather pointless when not much utilises it. Unless they are going to change all the other devices in the range I can't see it changing either.

In time they'll support the new resolution - it took a short time for apps to be Retina ready

I wouldn't be surprised if the next iPad was 16:9.

I would - 4:3 is more usable in tablet form.

I'd just give it some time... its been what, a week? I'd say most popular apps will get the update treatment to use the full screen size.

I know apple updated all of their core apps on day one but I guess others are slow to adapt and of course some wont ever get updated.

Everything you buy is a statement about yourself, which I guess is why people so fervently defend things like phones, etc, because maybe cussing someone's phone is cussing their judgement.
