I'm sooo pissed off!
After owning a 32GB (jailbroken) iPod Touch since March, I decided to go ahead and get the 16GB iPhone 3G on a £45 tariff (and + 30% discount) and paid £59 on top.
I tried to get the iPhone to connect to iTunes but it just wasn't having it.
It seemed like a driver issue.
I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and the same happened.
After googling, I found out that the iPhone is not compatible with my Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic SP1 64-Bit operating system.
HOW CRAP IS THAT!!!
Now I have a phone that I can't use! Anyone got any ideas?

As the early adopter of a 16GB iPhone 3G, I'll be pretty p1ssed off if Apple release this within the next twelve months.Last edited by Nu-Eclipse; 21-09-2008, 10:50.

Hmmm, some strange things now.
I've just done some research on this and it seems like the iPhone is compatible with Vista 64 bit... Just not the iPhone 3G!
My mate has Vista 64 bit and a 1st gen iPhone and he has confirmed that he has it working fine...
What the hell is going on here, Apple?
I just want my iPhone 3G to work on Vista 64 bit!!!

I have a 1st gen Iphone I bought last January which is still running 1.1.2 firmware. I use an o2 sim in it but not on the Iphone tarif.
What's the best and easiest way for me to upgrade to the latest 2.1 firmware. Had a quick look on AV forums but the thread is massive, so any advice would be much appreciated.
