Any opinions? I'm going to give my old 3G one to my gf (who is also on o2) - any experience of this? I know she is going to need a data package - ideally just as a bolt on.

It should arrive soon so any help would be great before she racks up a huge bill and blames me!
If she's free of her contract, she should just move to a simplicity deal with unlimited data. If not, O2 can just add a particular bolt on for ?7.50 a month.

I've just got the iPhone simplicity deal as well. Good value compared to the £35 a month I was previously paying, shows you how much handset subsidies are I suppose.

It's for Bladerunner fans that want a Linux based phone. To Googles partners it's a kick in the teeth.

Really just a new model of HTC Android based phone. Snappy UI that looks inferior to the 3 year old iPhone UI.

Or you could just wait six months and get the new iPhone. Please god can it have multi tasking otherwise I may have to get the next Palm WebOS smartphone. I mean really the fact that I have to quit whatever I'm doing to read a text message is ****ing ludicrous.

Ever considered jailbreaking? Nice stop gap solution until Apple implement it themselves, and it's pretty slick too.

Yeah I really should jailbreak and install backgrounder...that's what it's called right? It's just bull**** that Apple haven't added it to the OS yet. WebOS looks awesome with its 'cards' system.

There not going to add it yet if they can sell you yet another model are they? They did the same with 3g and gps, knowing full well that they should of been standard in the first version, especially as 3g and gps have been pretty standard for quite a while now in other phones.

Backgrounder plus ProSwitcher will give you Pre-style cards - they look quite flash but Kirikae is better in practice for switching quickly between and launching new apps.. certainly if you have more than 3 or 4 running as it means a lot of swiping between cards.

This was 100% correct, thank you Taka.

Anyone here have an Iphone on T-Mobile? I got mine just before Christmas but have a slight issue that someone might be able to help with?

I had to manually put in the correct settings to send MMS messages. All worked nicely, except now it seems quite fussy as to what pics it sends - it will send some pics I take, but not others. If I copy pics off the net, they seem to send. It just doesn't seem to like the pics I take on the phone.

Spoken to T-Mobile and they say there are no network issues, though there was one that's fixed - so it could well be the phone is at fault - I've only had it about two weeks - Totally stock phone, unlocked but supplied through a company T-Mobile have contracted out to, so all legit etc.

Only thing I haven't tried it going out and about to different areas - been home all over Xmas you see.

                              Any thoughts?

Just got an hand me down iphone and managed to get o2 simplicity iphone tariff for ?20 a month.

                                600 mins
1200 texts (missed out on 700 and 1400 by 1 day)
                                Unlimited data
                                Unlimited wifi
                                visual voice mail.

I didn't think I was going to get the unlimited wifi and visual voice mail but it appears they have this iphone tariff thats not advertised anywhere on their website.

Hope this can help someone out.
