Tokyo Tower is awesome. I loved it. I have heard its coming down in the near future to be replaced.
I have to admit though, i didnt love Toyko when i was there. I spent 11 days in Matsuyama, Ehime area which is where the inlaws live and it was a place i want to move. I loved it there.

Glad you had a good time mate, I was in Kawasaki for a bit. Took in a J-league match too! Ill have to check out Joypolis next time i am there. Pity as i wanted to see Disney sea but may just save my money after your tip.

I don't suppose you noticed if they have the gamecube memory card slot, I would like to get the AX racers unlocked someday and forgot to check when I went there lol
No not an f-Zero arcade they have an F-Zero ride called Force-G. This was a fully blown ride, but i did not get any video footage as the queue was so short i just forgot. I will see it one of my mates can upload some to youtube for you.

      EDIT

      thats the ride

Did we not tell you to go anywhere like Disney Sea on the weekend or a national holiday? I had to wait 3 hours just to ride Big Thunder Mountain once. Forget that.

Tokyo Tower 2 is getting built soon but I don't know about the original coming down...

OK that's definitely new then - but did they still have the 4 hydraulic AX cabs in the arcade section?

Looks like that ride might have taken the place of the rally game where you sat in a full car and it shunted about while you watched a big projection screen - I was in a Celica GT4 lol

I didnt it was a Monday no holiday as far as i knew.

Yeah no Rally game from what i noticed. they are in the process of setting up a 24 attraction also. Prison Break was one of the things with the biggest queue.

            Sadly no FZero arcade cabs.

Disney Sea busy on a Monday? That is odd.

I had an amazing time when I visited Japan. Exceeded all my expectations and would love to return one day.

Thanks for posting, Mole, it's brought back some fab memories!

Did you ride Thunder Dolphin at the Tokyo Dome? It's one of the top ten fastest and highest coasters in the world! I loved it, especially the bit where you go through the ferris wheel!

I took this picture of it when I visited:

Are those stats right? I'm sure I've been on faster coasters, and Fujiyama also seemed much taller, though I guess it doesn't have the tall buildings surrounding it (btw Bunkyo Kuyakusho nearby has a free observatory on the top floor where you can look down on the wheel/coaster, although the view towards Tokyo Dome is obscured).

Really? That's an interesting thing to have in a Ward Office... Mind you, look at Tocho in Shinjuku.

Kobe's Shiyakusho has an observation level with a great view also.

I snuck up the glass elevator in the neighbouring hotel for a few photos!

Could just play the part of a confused tourist if we got questioned.

All this talk of coasters makes me want to start a thread...

Go to Roppongi Hills, you can go up on the roof and make nice pics in day and nighttime. Beats all the Tokyo Towers combined.

I did not get to the Tokyo Dome sadly, though did see the huge ferris wheel from Tokyo Bay. It looked amazing at night all lit up.
