That petition has gone from one of the most depressing, narrow minded things ever, to comedy gold!

out of the 1000 posts only about a third are there for the boycott

strikes me that people watch Braveheart and think William Wallace was the good guy, probably best for them to check into a bit more

Ways that Americans can boycott the UK: 1. Not using British soldiers to fight your wars. 2. Not sending any money to the IRA. 3. Not coming to visit London and blocking up the underground with your fat badly dressed arses. 4. Not using Britain and it's colonies as military bases. 5. Not employing British actors to play the bad guys in Hollywood action films. 6. Not boring British people to death with stories about how you are 1/64th English and 1/128th Irish or whatever.

We know you moonlight selling propane and propane accessories, don't deny it!

Back on topic, I'd rather we release dying criminals on compassionate grounds than threaten to kill their wife and kids

I do like a good giggle. The topic here is serious. The petition is not.

Edit: Better put in a few cents as well. As far as I can gather the case against him is not rock solid. If he is guilty then he shouldn't be released. The guy gave up any rights to well, anything, for his acts. I'm unsure of how Scottish prisons work when compared to UK prisons so I won't generalise for the whole of GB but UK prisons really need to be sorted out. If someone is convicted of murder and sent to prison I don't expect him to be able to shoot a few rounds of pool. I could rant for ages but I won't bore you :P

Petition stupid response: I can't vouch 100% for accuracy but please feel free to boycott the following Scottish inventions. http://www.magicdragon.com/Wallace/thingscot.html
And for a Christian country, you'd think compassion is a buzz word.

The agenda here is clearly political and money talks (unfortunately)

I note that the petition has been closed - shame, as that was some good reading -

No. What did he say? "boycott Scottish stuff and go watch my movie!" ?

Done a quick search and he said "I'd be happier if he was dead". Usually they would be a buzzkill but from what people are saying, it was a pretty awful interview in general.

Then I guess he'll be a happier man in anything from 1-3 months time.
