Why is it, I can be playing any game for ages, and everything about me is in Ship Shape?

Then I pop in a Guitar Hero or Rock Band game.

Within seconds of a song starting I seem to have a facial itch that I never seem to get any other time, ever.
I'm trying to concentrate on the bloody notes and I'm dying to scratch my cheek. My cheek! Sodding thing never gets itchy normally, but during a LostProphets song it's the most uncomfortably itchy place I can remember.

At least you can pause in those games.

Try having an itch in the middle of a song on IIDX.

lol, I do indeed pause. Then I scratch. Seconds after restarting, the back of my head starts itching. Or my ear. Or lip.

        Curses.

Ah yes, Bemani syndrome. I used to get the same thing with any rhythm action game that didn't feature a pause button. Guitar Freaks & Drummania in particular.

Maybe there is a shop under the sea?

I hate it when the forum is down as I have to find other things to do.

EDIT: Is the forum not running very well for anyone else? Was off most of last night and went for 5 mins just then.

The fact that I can use Ctrl-W to close a tab in IE, which I use so much that I keep trying to use it to close other programs as well (which obviously doens't work). Alt-f4 is just so much more stretching.

Not so much an irk, but I am lol at eBay sellers who are for instance charging £35 for Ridge Racer 7 just because it's Japanese. It's not even Japanese anyway, but Asian and there are clearly other ones right there for under £10. What is wrong with these people?
                    Kept you waiting, huh?

Looking up on the internet about Grandia and reading people say 'Oh, I didn't know they made it for the Saturn too'.

                        GRRRR!

It shouldn't wind me up as much as it does, of course... but I have to resist the temptation to register at these other forums just to point out that it came out on the Saturn first. I guess the teenage years of being an irrational Saturn fanboy haven't quite died yet.

More quality journalism from the Daily Mail:

Since Dr Atkins launched the original low-carb diet in the Seventies, millions have tried it, lost weight, gained it again, and a fantastically lucrative worldwide low-carbohydrate industry has been born.

A stone in 2 weeks that sounds amazing! Wait... a stone is 14 pounds, that's a pound of weight loss a day... a daily calorie deficit of 3500 ie 1000 calories more that an active, non-dieting person burns in a day?

Maybe if you ate nothing in a day and spent 3 hours in the gym you could manage that. For a single day. After which point you crash and start fainting at a drop of a hat.

Job agencies, phone you up saying can you start in an hour, pay you minimum wage for 3 weeks but you lump it because its money and work, and then phone you up monday morning saying we don't need you anymore, byeee'

                            c*nts

People that stop dead as soon as they get onto the platform on the underground. Did you not notice that escalator full of people travelling right behind you a few seconds ago?

People on trains used to annoy the hell out of me when I was commuting. example

Train is about 8 minutes away from the station
A load of people get up to get off there
Obviously you have the vestibules at the end of each carriage, some people end up in the vestibule, others end up just outside of it.
Now you know those doors where you press a button and they open for about 15 seconds, and then automatically close.

Well for 8 minutes, always, the person near the door presses it, and then 15 seconds later it closes,

*presses button, door opens, 15 seconds later it closes*
                                *nowhere near station yet*
*presses button, door opens, 15 seconds later it closes*
                                *nowhere near station yet*
*presses button, door opens, 15 seconds later it closes*
                                *nowhere near station yet*

                                FUUU

I actually turned around once and said 'if you just leave it closed - you can just press it once when you need to get off, instead of standing there pressing it all the time and it just closing on you'

'yeah but I'm simple and simple things amuse me' she replies.

                                sigh.

thank god I don't commute anymore.
