    Me + not drinking

A painful experience so far which leaves me feeling quite pathetic/angry why it holds such power over me Coming upto 3 weeks alcohol free on Monday and I have a private reason why I doing it which gives me purpose.

Also major IRK friends when hearing of my alcohol free state making a big song and dance about it - staying out till the early hours on orange juice is challenging enough without having their continued gossip

Good for you, don't listen to them.

Just try and ignore them. Highly likely that whoever starts gossiping or doing anything less than accepting your decision couldn't walk five minutes in your shoes, especially if you have smaller feet than them. Don't feel pathetic, feel powerful.

I've had an almost entire lifetime of people asking me why I don't drink. I started recently but I don't get drunk, nor do I have any intention of getting drunk ever, I just like trying the different things out. What's funny is that before I started, the question was "why don't you drink?" and now it's just changed to "had enough already?". I just have to accept that, for some people, anything less than getting all-out plastered isn't good enough so whatever explanation I give is pointless. Once they start getting even a little bit weird I'll often just bugger off home. I've only ever once stayed out until the early hours of the morning with drunk mates(company party) and the only way I got through it was to act drunk myself(which worked).

I'm having a oral exam tomorrow, but I don't know what it's about. I know the subject (english), but I'm not attending the school, and simply taking it as "privatist" (don't know if there's a english synonym). Usually you get info about this in the mail, or can refer to a website, but I haven't found any clues whatsoever. I'm still gonna show up. At least I'll learn what I should've known, and will be better prepared when I attempt it again next year.

                  No..

I guess I should say I'm anti Apple.

                  And this is exactly why.

Currently applying for another job. I have forgotten how tedious the whole process can be. Listing my GCSE's from 20 years ago! I think one of the main reason people stay in crappy jobs is the hassle of applying for a new one.

The annoying thing about GCSE's is these guys really should just assume you've probably got them if you have a particular degree, or even A-Levels, seeing as you can't really progress academically without them.

I'm doing my GTTR application now and they want a minimum of grade C in GCSE English and Maths but how would I have even got onto my Physics degree if I didn't at least know GCSE maths to a decent level? Same goes for English - how would I have written my final year dissertation without at least C-grade GCSE-level English? It's mind-boggling.

Even if someone's from somewhere that doesn't do GCSE's, it just seems pointless. Luckily my NRA is within easy reach and it has my GCSE certificates but I've no idea where my A-Level certificates are so if they ask for those I'll be stuck a bit. So far I haven't ever been asked for the certificates but they are asking what the examining boards were so I might just make it up(they were most likely Edexcel and AQA anyway).

Turns out this was partly my fault. Discovered by accident (on a webpage for another region!?) I was supposed to send in a list of books/texts in line with the subject plan that I have read. This should have been sent in a couple of months ago. So now I have absolutely no reason to show up tomorrow - other than to embarrass myself completely - so I'm joining some mates to hang out in the sun instead...

After getting 13 distinctions at BTEC National Diploma in Computer Science they made me take an English Language O'Level (which I failed at school) before they'd let me on the Degree course. They gave me 17 hours notice lol.
