The logic of electricity companies. I'm ?190 in credit at the moment and the company is taking ?103 a month off me. I emailed them and said I want ?103 back and my DD set to ?50 (using about ?40 a month atm). They e-mailed back and said they can return the funds but they'll have to increase my DD! This is incase I can't cover the payments over winter. Ridiculous. I know use goes up in winter but I can easily pay the bills when they arise.

Other irk for today is how much drinking messes up my body. Not enjoying my morning today. I'm very much limiting my intake nowadays.

Last time I had my blood taken, the phlebotomist (what an ace job title) had to say 'if you don't breathe, I don't get any blood'. Heh, hadn't even noticed I'd held my breath as she put the needle in, same as I do when I have gum injections at the dentist...

I've had so many over the years (in and out of hospital a lot as a kid, and again a few years back) that I don't really mind it anymore.

I've just realised I pay for sky plus and am sure that customers who have multiroom or more than 1 premium channel (of which i have 2, and multiroom) don't have to pay for it, so I checked my file of letters received from them and confirmed this is indeed the case, although the letter was dated 2006 so could probably have changed since then, but i keep all pertinent letters from companies so am sure i would have something if they'd changed it. anyway i'm annoyed.

also at the fact that it's nice and easy to upgrade your pack online or through your box, but want to downgrade? no sir, you've got to phone this premium number and wait on hold for 3 months!

i'm going to have to ring the shysters aren't i, i hate phoning people, especially companies!

Renchi. Ugh.

First they stop taking orders for months, so my Asian 360 fund ran dry while I waited. Then they put them back up when I didn't have any money. Now, on the eve of me buying one, they took their whole website down until today to change providers. So I visited their site at various intervals throughout the day and it was still down. In the middle of the afternoon, the date on their homepage graphic changed to say that the site is now going to be down until the 23rd of October.

Harsh. Personally, I love supporting my country so will never give up on it.

Harsh but realistic. We're just not good enough to compete in euro or world cup level, and the two top clubs in the country would get hammered week in, week out in the English premier.

That's not the point though. I enjoy supporting my country and possibly more importantly, they need my support. If everyone gave up, Hampden would be empty every game! If Levein stays until the next round of qualifiers for Brazil 2014 we should have the best chance of making it since France 98 as our squad is showing signs of improvements. It just needs the stability of one manager and one team for a while for it to work rather than constant change of personnel.

It's a pity people don't want to support them as going to Scotland games is such an experience. As heartbreaking as it is, I wouldn't walk away from them.

I have no interest in SPL anymore though but that's a different story.

My girlfriend is the same, job interview today, but several sleepless nights thank to the nearby student bar being noisy means that we are both quite run down.

Cold held off. I'm an idiot though, I woke up at 9 'cause that's what time I get up when I have uni at 11, gives me just enough time to shower and have breakfast and browse online for a bit. So I woke up, played a bit of Tiny Tower to wake myself up properly, and then suddenly remembered that the interview was at 10:30 and I had basically no time at all 'cause it takes half an hour to walk there.

Balls.

Made it, though. I think it went alright, which is annoying. Having a bad interview and not getting the job is alright, having a good interview and not getting it is depressing. So I want it. Bah. Never mind. We'll see. She seemed to like me, but I think she's the kinda person that likes everyone (not that that's bad, she's just hard to read!)
