Ordered a new phone last thursday, the man on the phone was very reassuring in saying "it'll be with you in a few days, it could be upto 7 but i have to say that, it'll be with you before then", Today, 8 days later, still no phone, so I rang 02 only to be told it's still listed as awaiting despatch! majorly pissed off at them as I've got a buyer awaiting my old phone and needed the money sharpish! The guy on the phone tonight 'looked into it' and said it'll be sent as soon as they can and could be upto 14 days now, after i said that wasn't good enough I got him to guarantee a delivery date of 21st, in my heart I know it won't be there, and i'll follow through with my original plan of sacking them off altogether and going with somebody else if that happens.

Bought a nice new office chair for my desk from Staples last night. When I put it all together...2 left arms and no right. Naturally it was well past closing time so I'll have to go and pay them a visit some other time. Grr.

my sister in laws fiance's mother died this week ...and the whole being ripped off for funeral expenses has really bugged me ...like 700 euros to dig the hole for the grave....over 1000 euro for a headstone......rose to put in the grave over 30 euro each...just strikes me as soo wrong as after the very hard loss on them ...to be put under financial stress to

That's why cremation is awesome Eastyy.

            Humbug!

Joking aside, this season is what you make of it. Right now I'm a little "meh" but managed to get the decorations up and am trying to be in the mood. MH3G helps

I've ranted about this last year, but people who come into work whilst severely ill.

So far today I've been subjected to one person with the flu and one who has been projectile vomiting, all coming in just to spread it around (all proceeded by the usual "Don't come near me, I'm ill" before walking up to you) and then going home because they're so bad.

I swear if I'm ill for Xmas Day because of them there's a very real possibility I may murder someone*

*not admissible in court Your Honour.

Saying that, if they are seen to not make the effort and stay home it looks bad on them. I have respect for people who can still work when feeling like death warmed up. Besides, I believe a person is most infectious before the cold/whatever has turned out...vomiting is a different case altogether though.

With my old job as a carer I wasn't supposed to work at all if I was ill...if you give an old person the flu it could potentially kill them

I just take the time off. My manager was pointing out that I've taken quite a few sick days this year(less than him, though, and mine weren't self-inflicted) so I told him I'd rather stay at home and recover than be a hero, come in and end up doing less work(while still getting paid) because of illness. He was happy with that.

Choosing the Christmas party on Saturday night to tell a girl from work that I fancied her (clich? much haha), and getting no positive reaction, I should've known considering she'd already mentioned she liked somebody else, but no point bottling things up I suppose so I just awkardly and drunkenly blurted it out in the taxi on the way back to hers (I was stopping in her spare room anyway). And now, although I know where I stand which helps, I feel pretty ****ty/embarassed//down, rejection is bitch!

But, saying that, it's hardly the end of the world, I'm sure I'll be over it within a week if I can keep myself occupied in the meantime.

Yeah I thought of doing that but didn't want to retract it because the fact is I think she's hot, so I repeated it the next day, in a "sorry but it's true" fashion, she hasn't seemed awkward or anything towards me since then though which I was worried about.

I was doing the same this weekend Found some pretty cool stuff when I was poking around up there looking for Xmas decorations, the highlight being a figurine of Bebop from Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles Will be posting up photos on FB just to fill peoples news feeds with crap.

True. At least it's out there. If she tires of fancying that other guy, she knows already so she wouldn't have to worry about you rejecting her. Something like that, anyway!
