Leave the country! Worked a treat for me

    Comment

On the BBC news why do they show a weather forecast at the end of the main news, end of the regional news and then a separate forecast? I haven't forgotten the forecast after half an hour.

Listening to 2 chavs in Gamestation claiming that releasing old films on Blu ray is pointless "all they do is fine toon the colours innit"

Went round to the olds yesterday to finally get a chance to wrap all the pressies away from prying eyes. Turned up only to find my bro's nipper there going mental & wanting me to play with his toys. I just didnt have time so said sorry lad.
Then I get collared by my mum nagging me about how to put the VCR on so the nipper can watch some vids - no scart lead, so had to search everywhere for 1.
Then my mum wants to sit down & have a moan about my dad not bothering to do a thing & him gadging off of her because he's given it all to his grandkids to look good etc etc. T
hen my bro's missus turns up with the smaller nipper & wants a chat, catch up etc etc. At this point time is ticking away & my reason for going over has been wasted. Had to go back over today to finally get it done while the missus is at work.

Also I went to Tesco (which I hate going to & ended in an arguement with the missus cos she wanted to get everything there) &......................no sprouts??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Most people I know hate sprouts but I love em. How the hell do you run out of something that people hate? So had to go running around today looking for sprouts (I know its pathetic). Every time I go to tesco I cant get what I want which is why I very rarely go there, but NO SPROUTS?

All I want to do is sit down watch a few chrimbo films, eat (quite) a lot & hammer my games.
Xmas just gets less & less important & more & more of a pain in the arse every yr.

I wont be visiting anyone over the next few days. Bollocks to it!!

Yeah Sainsburys in Brighton had no sprouts either, fortunately the one back here got some in during the day (they had none Thurs) so I picked up a bag when I got home but even so they aren't the nicest ones I've ever seen. Shortage?

I've just tried to wrap up presents for the missus and have run out of paper. With 11 things still to wrap. Bugger.

Checking CeX trade-in prices and, hilariously, they give ?22 for the Slim 250GB hard drive but ?26 for a regular 250GB 2.5" SATA hard drive. I've been sitting here gluing the case shut(put a phat 250gb hdd into the casing of a dead slim 250gb) and making it look presentable for no reason whatsoever!

I popped into Tescos the other night and it was mental.
Was a good deal going on the beers - 3 for ?20 which aint bad if you need them for presents or yourself. The only thing we noticed out of stock was Doritoes. Weird.
Went to the self service checkout to be quick as we only had 3 beers, 3 spirits and a Bluray and we ended up getting stuck there for ages! Checkout was super slow at registering items, the weight thing in the packing bay kept doing the usual problem and we got ID'd despite definitely looking over 18.

Yeah Doritoes were too! Well, Cool original and lightly salted anyway, they had millions of cheese...

I went to Marks on Thursday and queued for about half an hour. The food bit isn't huge but they had converted more than half of it to Christmas stuff and man it was PACKED with people. Insane.

Sains/Tesco seem to be really bad with regard to IDing people. From what I've witnessed the problem is that the staff members tend to be about 65+ and so have no idea how old someone is (it can also be because they can get fined ?000's as can the shop if they do sell to underage peeps). I love self service when it works but more often than not something fails, usually "item has been removed from bagging area, please replace item" (no it bloody well hasn't!)

Dragged to Asda last night due to a friend doing his Christmas shop then (WTF). There were those carts they use to pull stock out in all through the aisles and there was only room for one trolley down the aisle (like it was a one way aisle!) You even couldn't get to the food as they were blocking up the fridges and freezers. I was literally moving through them like a maze and pulling them out of the way as you could not get anything.

If one person stopped in an aisle to look at something you literally could not get past them, and there was always someone coming head-on towards you and one of you had to go back down the end of the aisle and let the other through it was that bad. Certainly a fire hazard if there was an evacuation.
