Agree with that previous stuff about being 'miserable'.

I absolutely loathe dancing, it's pure misery and to be avoided at all costs. Then some knob comes up and says 'why aren't you dancing? Don't be so miserable.'

Well no, actually, I'm as happy as a pig in ****e sat here with a beer. If there's one think guaranteed to make me miserable it's getting up and dancing. So get bent.

The above scenario can be applied to any situation where you are quite happy not joining in with something you hate.

It was real painful to use in it's pre-SP1 state that's for sure, and even post-SP1 wasn't great. However, I've recently installed Vista SP2 as a temp. fix until Windows 7 comes out and I'm surprised at how much has improved in terms of performance.

I agree entirely, we are soulmates.

I don't dance unless I'm .. utterly bladdered, like almost falling over.

I could dance right now...okay..I have had several pints of Diesel. I am well away. Betting on Ice Hockey means I could dance.

The only way you'll get me dancing is if I'm that drunk I don't know what the **** I'm doing.

I mean, I feel enough of a bellend dancing when I'm pissed so there's no way I'll do it when I'm sober. I'll just sit with my drink and laugh at all the imbeciles spazzing out.

Another irk of mine is school kids. Secondary school kids that is.

Just went into to village to post some stuff, pop to the chemist and get myself some dinner for tonight and I picked the worst time.

The place was swamped with what seemed like millions of loud mouthed, gobby, ignorant, smelly teenagers. Took me about 15 minutes to get my dinner from the shop where as during school hours I'm in and out in less than a minute.

Why can't they congregate someplace other than all the shop entrances?

If I had a weapon on me I'm sure it would have ended up like a scene out of Dead Rising!

People who use 'it was before my time' as an excuse for not being cultured.

                  Is "being cultured" important?

                        It's important for yoghurt.

Totally agree with the smile thing...I quite often get "Smile!" said to me, but I'm actually a very happy and (to be honest) disgustingly content individual, I can't really think of anything I'd want that I don't have already, amazingly beautiful wife who is my best friend as well, two superb children, a house, a car...

Just because I don't walk around grinning from ear to ear doesn't mean I'm not happy. Truth be told I'm a rather up front kinda person and if I'm not happy, chances are you'll know about it if it's your fault!

Maybe cultured is the wrong word ... I just find it strange that 'it was before my time' is used as some kind of substitute for 'I'm not intersted in that'. Like 'before my time' somehow makes it irrelevant and of no interest ... even the big stuff, like the moon landing or WWII. Maybe I'm just getting old and I'm not down wit da kidz anymore

People who look at me like I'm insane when I tell them I don't drink, then feel the need to psycho analyse me and question why I don't.

Wouldn't be so bad but the items (old laserdiscs) are valued at just £28.00 but weigh in at 17.5kg so I had to pay a friend in Japan £180.00 to cover the EMS shipping. I'm reading this tracking as customs thinking this might have been a purchase from a commercial enterprise and it has me irked.

I can't speak to them on the phone, I'm irked.

I send an email question and the automated reply says they will respond within 48 hours. Irked again.
