New irk of mine, thanks to ITV's coverage of the England game tonight. People saying 'Holland' instead of the 'Netherlands'. It just demonstrates people's lacking understanding of geography. Most of my friends in the Netherlands see it as a bizarre England-ism.

The vicious circle that is staying up late to complete a section of an essay in order to only have the last bit to do tomorrow meaning going to bed so late the bloody birds are already chirping outside meaning I'll struggle to get to sleep and end up sleeping in tomorrow morning only to stay up late again tomorrow night to finish the work (and therefore going to bed when those knifeandforking birds are bloody at it chirping AGAIN).

Also related to this those stupid animated super-imposed advertising hoardings they put on. Looked absolutely rubbish. Some of muted ones like Asda were passible but the rest were awful. Looked especially bad on HD.

My landlord has irked me for the entire two and a half years I've been in this house. But he's really done it this time. I discover today that, not only should he not be renting the house out, he hasn't paid his mortgage for about the last 9 months at least, if not more. The house is probably going to be repossessed and I'm really not very chuffed.

I know that legally they can't throw me out immediately as I have a contract witht the Estate Agents, but it looks very likely that I'm going to have to move house rather sharpish.

I am not very amused.

_SD_: Even if it's repossessed the chances are that the bank won't be able to sell the house and/or might not want to take the loss on sale. Many banks now continue to rent out the house with the tenant paying the bank directly. I wouldn't worry too much about a quick exit. At the least they will have to apply for possession and then give you notice to vacate. I think you will get two months notice at the minimum, worst case.

Good morning,

I have been using your site for several years now and have only ever
had one issue with an order. However, my order for Fire Emblem Kakusei
on 3DS is another thing. I received an email saying it had been posted
on April 18th. Usually, orders take about 3-4 weeks to arrive, so when
it hadn't arrived I was a little concerned but held off contacting
Customer Services until the 8 week mark. There was no need though as
the item arrived yesterday.

What I'm extremely unhappy about is that the postmark on the package
clearly reads April 28th 2012. My question for you is: why did you
feel the need to lie to me about when the item was posted?

We are sorry to hear about the problem.

As we check on your order, we confirm that we have shipped and dispatched
your package from our warehouse on April 18 and been passed on to Hong Kong
post for delivery.

Please note that they have to arrange cargo schedule first and sort out
packages for shipment. All courier/carrier do the same thing. Only that
couriers such as FedEx, EMS and UPS do this in a faster way. We cannot
expect items shipped through the post office to ship items immediately. We
do not have any control over the local post or any courier company. We are
hoping for your kind understanding.
