Was going to ask how you were holding up Faderman?

I thought I was better Saturday but seem to have gotten worse again yesterday and today, really hope it doesn't last the whole week...

Irk - I was rubbish at being in my 20s. And late teens really. I wasted a huge chunk of my life. That is all.

Hey, I'm still in my 20's. What do you regret? Let me live out your dreams!

I'm only really starting my 20s and I've already wasted my teens

Then go more places. See more things. Meet more people. Have way more sex. Start a business. When that fails, throw a party. Most of all, just don't sit on your ass all self-conscious and expect life to come to you. Off you go, Alex - run free!

Now, don't mind me while I sit in a dark room and listen to The Smiths.

Its like we were separated at birth on that one

Maybe that's why I'm being such a tw** now I'm in my 30's

Listening to the smiths is always a good idea!

I too wasted my 20s. And my 30s actually. Also my 40s aren't off to a good start. I plan on my 50s being epic though.

Well I have been doing much better in my 30s and I'm not far off 40 now. But what I've been better at is living as someone in their 30s. Decent(ish) career, wife and kids and stuff. That stuff is going okay, but there is still a big hole from that earlier life I didn't live that hits me every now and again and it's not something I can just start now what with the decent(ish) career, wife and kids and stuff. The two lives are fairly incompatible. Thing is, my life probably would have led to pretty much the same place and ultimately I wouldn't trade my current life for that twenties life (I imagine it would be very tiring for one thing) so maybe it shouldn't bother me. But, at times, it does.

                  I'm so moany sometimes.

That is a fine ambition, Mr.Cat. We should all aspire to be Old Snake.

I always remember a great quote for that "live out your imagination not your history" can't change it just make the rest godlike (a fierce evil god hopefully)

One thing I do want to do is start a business once I've finished my degree. With no mortgage or kids to pay for (not even a car!) it's probably the best time to start as if it all goes tits up I can just walk away and start over.

I'm sure in the future I will look back on my life up until now and wish I'd been more outgoing, hell even now I sometimes do but I guess that's just human nature!

Yeah that's a good quote. As is your idea of aiming to be a fierce evil god.

Think I was about 28 or 29 and one day I just though you know what I don't give a **** what anyone thinks about me, I stood up for myself and other people I cared about being **** on and I feel a much better person for it

You say wasted, but surely the decisions, or lack of them, you made earlier in life have shaped the person you are now?
I am a big fan of my current self, I was a bit wet in my earlier life, but now seem reasonably confident without being a dick and am enjoying having a steady job and no kids which means all the lovely money goes on me and my wife, with the occasional treat for the dog.

I am in my mid 30's now.
