Get a kitchen knife and some ketchup in a squeezy bottle.Write something amusing like "I'll slit your throat first" in the snow on their car in the ketchup and hang around for them to emerge and start brandishing the knife, ensuring you are covered in ketchup.

Do this naked for a "omg he's seriously crazy" look.

Or leave a huge amount of broken glass and nails on the driveway. If you can't use it, may as well stop other people....

First port of call would be to contact the "sun centre" and ask them to tell their customers not to block people's drives/houses.

If they don't care, tell them you will be contacting a solicitor in the new year. People are NOT allowed to block the entrance to a property.

The guy is a completely nutcase and owns a business without parking. He isn't the all talking type either, and wouldn't be surprised if my car has no windows when i wake up in the morning. I'm more worried about him always being there over the road, and wish there's some way of dealing with his psychotic behaviour.

First one is a waste of time, as they admit to not caring if it's my house or not "we can park wherever we want" 2nd one would be outstanding, do you have any more info; a government site or something i can visit?

Long story short i there's a space on my front door where i park my car, there's also a Sun Centre across the road where the staff use my house as a carpark. Fed up with coming home one too many times and having nowhere to park, i get out and write "Not a carpark" on the car in the snow.

20mins a later the carowner almost puts my window through and banging on my door, "Did you f**kin'" do this etc". Then gets her bald ugly fella to drive his van over, "we can park wherever we f'kin want too", "i'll knock your f;kin teeth out son". Then gets out of his van, so thought it best to close the door and ignore it.

Pretty shaken and not sure what to do.
But is it a parking space on your drive? or just a space outside your house?

Untrue: Legally you can park alongside any non-dipped kerbside that doesn't have yellow-lines or signs telling you not to.

Make a note of his numberplate and call the police. Mention you've been threatened with violence and don't feel it's just an idle threat.

Put a sign on your fence or gate saying that blocking the driveway will result in the car being towed (protects your arse in court). Then give these guys a call:

Blocking a driveway is a civil offence. It's worth remembering however that you do not have the right to park in front of your house, anyone can park there provided they're not blocking the drive. If they're not blocking your drive, there's nothing you can do.

It's a massive space but not on the main A road, and stretches the full length of the side of the house (mine is the last one on the row) which includes the side door and the window. So when other cars park in the space, it blocks the door (as Jebus pointed out). A picture would explain it better but while not a driveway, it's basically a space outside my door.

The law will only protect you if it blocks access. Putting a sign up saying a certain amount of space needs to be left to let you get in the door. If that's ignored give that tow company a call.

Regardless, take a note of that guy's numberplate and complain about the threatening behaviour. Make sure you emphasise that you felt there was a real chance he would act on it.

Aye cheers, it's not the parking thing that bothers me so much, i came to terms with it along time ago. It's with him being an animal and lunatic, would scare the **** out of my girlfriend and i'm a pretty nice chilled out guy, i don't need this kinda crap in my life.

Sound advice though so will prob roll with this.
