Spent the 26th evening and the whole day after sick in bed. Just a low fever (37°C/98°F) but now everything's OK.

Started off on the 27th, with a sore throat and the glands in my neck bulging out like onions, and it's been pretty snotty over the last couple of days (though I took today off work as my voice was unmistakeably "full o' cold", it was a no-brainer).

I always get a cold at Christmas, always.

Been through 2 DS charges playing Order Of Ecclesia again, just discovered how not to sacrifice myself when uniting all three parts of the Dominus, getting right back into it, though I still think it's missing a certain something....

May as well extend this to the new year period.

My feet/ankles have been stiff and very painful (I can barely walk at the mo) for the past few days and today Edema has kicked in on my left leg and a few other parts of my body have puffed up as well. Fun Fun Fun.

        Pix!

My Christmas was pretty rubbish this year, nasty throat infection - had a rather large cold/flu the week prior but it got better.

Am relatively ok now mind, apart from post Xmas/New year/Birthday depression I always seem to go through.

lol, tell me about it. In my job, Christmas is the most brilliantly bizarre abstraction of reality, and the come down and readjustment is always a mission.

The main reason for getting ill at Christmas I believe, is that it is "all go" and it's not the weather or anything, it's the slowing down for a few days, that makes everything suddenly catch up with you. I've always been ill on Christmas day, I had an "early" Christmas holiday this year as my lass works for the NHS and can't have time off over the festive period. I was ill in that early christmas break rather than the real deal... strange but true.
