Sounds like a Mini would be a bad move for you from what you've just said Billy.

I think it looks really cool, whoever said the design looks a bit like they knocked off the Note - you're right there, except obviously the casing isn't made out of some tacky plastic.

The new iMacs look absolutely amazing. I think I'll be getting one of the new Mac minis though, despite them being by far the most mundane and unexciting part of the event!

From a dev point of view the mini made a lot of sense: same res as the older iPad, same processor, nothing really new to take into consideration. If we have apps that run on the iPad1/2 then they'll work fine on the mini. In fact, we don't even need to buy one to make sure.

I'm intrigued about this proprietary talk - what about consoles? They're all proprietary and locked in, aren't they, but that's ok? Mind you there's no choice with consoles(e.g. need a PS2 to play Ape Escape) but there is with tablets, I guess.

I'm well up for the mini, I have an iPad 3 at the moment. I used to have a galaxy tab which was the perfect size, only reason I got shot of it was the battery life and sluggish performance.
