Yeah, grass jelly is aces. By bubble tea do you mean the fruity/milky drinks mixed with ice, melting jelly tot style sweets at the bottom and served with a really phat straw?

I always used to drink cartons of Kia Ora as a kid. Think you can only get it in squash form now.

Also never noticed just how unashamedly racist the ads were...

Mrs. just corrected me, it is actually called Bubble tea, it's just we called it milk tea when I was there. :/ can be called pearl milk or boba milk tea as well. The gooey balls are tapioca.

Tea is spelt 'Teh' in Malaysia, much to my amusement.

Nah, taste's liek the smell of TCP and Germoline.

Does anyone know why Mountain Dew was originnaly pulled from the shelve?

And while you're at it, tell me the same reasoning for my saturday morning special Lucky Charms cereal disappearance too

Now that's a blast from the past

I see someone mentioned Panda Cola. What other classic crappy brands do you know? Anyone remember Rola Cola?

I did like Root Beer when McDonalds used to do it here.

Mountai Dew originally stopped selling in UK due to very low sales (also the bad rep didn't help)
Lucky Charms could be another kettle of fish, looking around.
                        Stole this..

"First one is that the Leprechaun on Lucky Charms may have offended some people and General Mills decides the Leprechaun is too important for sale and it is better to lose the sale from Britain alone, then everywhere else. This theory is supported by the fact that the green clover marshmallow was previously removed due to sensitive issues. The second theory is that the British government has deemed Lucky Charms as unhealthy cereal due to high sugar, and therefore General Mills has to pay a premium or tax to sell them in Britain and consequently General Mills decides it is more profitable to not sell them in Britain."

Most likely the second as Britain tries to become more healthy all round, can you imagine what Jamie would say.

Anyone remember the Hubba Bubba bubblegum flavoured fizzy drinks? I used to LOVE those when I was 13, then they suddenly stopped making them.

Nowadays I might have the odd cream soda or root beer but I don't really bother with fizzy drinks. Too sickly.
