That's very unusual that another bird came down and ignored it - couldn't have been the mother.

The one time I encountered a baby seagull in the courtyard of my apartment building I had about 5 seconds to go "Aww wook at the wittle baby seagull!" before I got divebombed from above by it's screaming enraged mother.

It was a crazy moment; I heard the scream, looked straight up and just saw this open beak and crazy eyes coming straight towards me - it was like my vision did a crash zoom, I took in so much detail in that split second , then I just bolted for cover without looking back.

If your one's mother was still around I don't think it would be ignoring it like that...

Bah the only option is hand rearing it apparently, I can't find any places to take it in even.

                    Its back! *seagull live blog*

Two girls were trying to put a massive box over it and it ran off.

                    Stay tuned.

In fairness if two women were trying to put their massive box over me, I'd run off too.

They gave up, why can't it sit outside someone elses house, sigh. Its like some harbinger of impending doom. Probably upon itself mainly I guess. No idea where it is again now. oh well.

You could make slippers (or at least a slipper)?

As sad as it may be, you shouldn't really interfere. It's the natural order of the world.
