Akihabara is definitely rubbish now compared to years ago. Really an end of a bygone era.

As Halal, if I understand aright, does not extend to fish, and as Japanese cuisine is perhaps most famous for its fish (notwithstanding things like Kobe beef and grilled meat specialisms like in yakitori or robatayaki restaurants), then you really shouldn't have a problem. Unless you don't like fish...

We went to Disney/Tokyo last year & couldn't be arsed going to Aki. I can get my new game needs at my local Geo along with old stuff. Older stuff I can pick up from Hard-off etc.

Thanks QualityChimp!!!!
much appreciated for that website.
with regards to fish, its all ok so long as they don't use any alcohol in it. You can get cooked fish, right? Sorry for being a div, but I was under the impression that most Japanese eateries did raw fish cuisine.
so im assuming you can visit establishments that do cooked fish too, right? Me and mrs love fish cuisine so we'd love to try the many varieties.

One thing I will say is that the idea of non meat dishes is unknown to the Japanese. By this I mean many foods that you would assume don't contain meat do in some form or another. 'Vegetable' curries that have meat etc. So pork is often included so it's worth double checking before ordering sometimes.
