Funny you should say that, my wife described me as a 'playboy' when she first met me! I was somewhat confident and had a sports car at the time!

I can't be the only person here that's spent his entire working life on building sites, can I? (Even if these days most of it's spent at a desk)

While at uni I did 3 summers labouring on a building site. I got to drive the dumper truck and the steam roller - best job ever!

dumper trucks are great. Go in reverse and then jam it into forward gear while still coasting backwards, drop the throttle and bam! Two tonne wheelie. ahem..... Don't try this at home kids. Ridiculously dangerous. It was under controlled* conditions.

been in my job for 22 years now and have just over 6 left after agreeing a career extension, but intend on leaving in the next two years or so or sooner if it remains as crap as it currently is

so bus driving, offshore or haulage is what i fancy

currently my job is IT based using computers to connected to legacy equipment (HF transmitters/Satcom datalinks) to establish communications with shore HQ's for all manner of shenanigans including VTC (conferencing) and realised that i just hate computers - they bore me to tears so looking to do a radical change of direction, life begins at 40 and all that lol

HDTV calibration, review, film cleanup, DVD/BD video encoding and authoring, editing.

I have my fingers in a lot of video pies but whether or not it makes a 'living' is questionable... some day though!

Business Economics degree, which I'm counting as my Dad pays me ?x per month for the duration (17 months left, eek!).

I probably should try and get a part time job somewhere but I have ways of earning extra dosh so have never really found it necessary....
