Just heard a story that involved a kid getting extra maths homework as punishment. What kind of world are we building where a teacher sees learning as a punishment?

All depends, surely a punishment where a kid learns something is better than him/her doing a pointless menial task.

No. PCSpecialist ultrabook. Part of the screen surround was wonky, but they are sending out a courier asap. The rest of it looks great. Funky design. Room for DVDwriter, card reader, webcam etc. Light enough. 120GB SSD. It's for Lucy though. I'm a bit jealous.

Reading that Royal Mail is scrapping its 1kg and under parcel bracket. Now costing things will be way more. Not to mention a 2.5% increase in price generally.

Audi drivers, whenever anyone is driving like an idiot it always seems to exclusively be an Audi driver, is it a brand that attracts angry young men? my latest run in involved this guy swerving around a car letting me out nearly crashing into the back of me and then following me down the road swearing and banging his steering wheel. he then drove down the wrong side of the road so he could pull up along side me at some traffic lights to swear rant at me, his poor female passages looked terrified. I smilled nodded and pulled away leaving him blocking traffic and struggling to get back on the right side of the road. Some people seem very angry when they get in thier car.

Audi, BMW or Volkswagon drivers, 99 percent of them drive like crap and usually aggressive with it.

The comments section on articles about science research / discoveries / breakthroughs. The number of people who seem to be proud of not wanting to know anything, is astounding.

Although the irony of the people who post comments like "What a pointless waste of money, how will knowing that help us?" using their computers which wouldn't exist if not for people theorising and developing quantum mechanics (Who needs to know how really small things act? Waste of time!) is quite funny.

Yep I had one on my tail last night trying to gun me down. A bit of choke plus some blue oil smoke meant he eventually got the message and backed off.
